As an Australian, I can tell you that many of us desperately want "I am Australian" to be our national anthem - and we have for a long time. Just like this crowd, when the song comes on, we all can't help but sing along. You can see the reverence we hold for the song when the crowd and coaches join in. It's beautiful, and wholly Australian 🇦🇺💕
  • I'm not Australian, nor have I ever heard that song. But this video really touched me. It isn't always about a perfect voice; sometimes storytelling takes over. This was excellent songwriting and storytelling. These lovely gentlemen were so sweet. They were more concerned about the future of other talent than stroking their own egos. What a class act.❤❤ God bless our cousins in the AU, with love from Oregon, USA. ❤🙏🇦🇺
  • To anyone wondering, they've been and done things musician's can only dream of. They only needed to know they still have it.

Now that's something you'll never see again! When they stepped aside so that the next generation could achieve the next step in their journey. Pure class 👏

They don't make them like The Bushwhackers any more... true Aussie spirit!
  • Can we make this the anthem already? It includes everyone, makes us emotional and proud.
  • I'm not from Australia, but I lived there for four years during my early twenties. This amazing country shaped me into who I am today and taught me to be independent and face the world head-on. I'll definitely go back to visit and give back to the community because it has a special place in my heart. Aussies are absolutely amazing people, chill, funny, and good blokes inside out!

I am not Australian but wow I can't stop crying that song is stirring!!!! WOW!
  • That should be the Australian National Anthem - it just gets everyone’s emotions into overdrive, it would be the best National Anthem on this planet

I'm from Germany and I really enjoyed them on the show. It was sad to see them leave but also an honorable gesture. Wish you all the best 🍀

Its not the colour of your skin, its the flavour within. We are one. no matter where we come from or what we look like. Be kind to eachother, help a brother out, help a sister out. We are one 💗💙💚💛💜

I'm not Australian but watching Jess get so emotional and then listening to everyone singing got me all teary eyed. That was beautiful.
  • As proud australian i tear up everytime i hear this song. This song with its music and lyrics encompasses what it means to be truely australian regardless of our individual enthic backgrounds.

As an American, I find this song to be fantastic. It's such a positive song, and it's like a mini history of Australia. I could easily see this as a national anthem.

Wonderful. And yes, primary school in Australia in the 90s meant endless rounds of Heel and Toe 😂❤
