Join Mycologist Paul Stamets, co-founder of MycoMedical Life Sciences, as he speaks of their historical use of psilocybin mushrooms and explores the potential for neurological health based, in part, on recent results on molecular modes of action his team has discovered.

The recent upsurge in interest in psilocybin mushrooms by the scientific community is attributable to their long use in history, their widespread use today, and the increasing number of clinical studies validating psilocybin as a breakthrough medicine. What is not yet well elucidated is the efficacy of microdosing and the mechanisms of action for neurogenesis and neurogeneration.

Paul published his first book on psilocybin mushrooms 45 years ago, and five since. He leads a team who are uniquely positioned to develop new compositions and methods for helping human health with these powerful, ancient medicines. Clinical trials are being planned to test his theories, based, in part, on the 3 composition patents recently awarded to Paul on his psilocybin discoveries.

“Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behaviour and information processing. They open you up to the possibility that everything you know is wrong.” ― Terence McKenna

I'm a veteran, was actually addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
  • Psilocybin mushrooms have definitely had a positive impact on my mental health. They've been really helpful for me in dealing with anxiety and depression.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
  • Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.
  • I was about to delete my life account. But the mushrooms were the turning point,. Now I'm improving my life in every aspect. Mushrooms are godsent

  • My first experience with shrooms cleared my mind and I started seeing the world on a whole new level

I learned how to grow shrooms after my wife had a mental breakdown was in a mental hospital taking antipsychotic’s nothing was working but she took some shrooms and was almost her old self. So I ordered lions mane tincture combined with micro dosing shrooms a few months later she’s doing great I thought I lost my wife for good and if I depended on doctors I would have it’s absolutely crazy to think that they still push big pharma meds that don’t work. Everyone deserves to know that there’s an alternative to regular meds that help tremendously

Paul Stamets is one of my favorite people. More people should see his videos, and there should be more of them.
  • After many successful trips, I'm a completely different person than who I once was. I see the world in more vibrant colours, patterns, and shapes, I feel an overwhelming sense of loving gratitude for my life and everyone in it, I understand the whole oneness of our species, and I feel pure joy as though I were a kid again. Mushrooms saved and changed me. If it weren't for my years of experiences with them, I might have been dead already. Depression and anorexia are so tough to overcome, but mushrooms uplifted me from my illnesses and I'm better than I ever have been 💖🍄

Psilocybin mushrooms healed me. I can’t explain it but my experience has been spiritual and eye opening. It really helped me get rid of depression and anxiety.

Mushrooms are without a doubt one of the best things on this existence when it comes to self improvement and simply enjoying life. It's something people should do at least once, I don't care what anyone says. It's life changing stuff.

Paul Stamets for the Nobel Prize 2023 !!!
  • I've participated in psilocybin trials in the UK as a healthy volunteer. I'm in my 50s and due to menopause I was having terrible brain fog and lack of concentration - since the trial I've had clear thinking as before menopause so even though the trial was to check the toxicity it had profound benefits for me.
  • Psilocybin mushrooms changed my life. They are unimaginably powerful though, so I would caution anyone who is curious to do a lot of research before dabbling. If you aren't ready to "download" that much information, and you fight the experience, you can absolutely traumatise yourself or even suffer a psychotic break. They demand complete and utter respect and humility. This might sound like hyperbole to anyone who hasn't had this experience. It might sound like a dramatic metaphor, but I promise you... It's probably the most mind blowing experience it's possible to have in life. I've had near death experiences and watched my son being born, and those experiences are like a grain of sand at the foot of the mountain that is a breakthrough mushroom trip.
  • If only we grew shrooms as the depression-era crop instead of corn. We wouldn't have high-fructose corn syrup in everything, just shrooms.
