"Every child is special." This movie made me cry a lot way back almost a decade ago.
  • @ak27m
This movie was eye opener for many indian parents who keeps very high academic expectations on their children and always want them to be either engineers or doctors.
  • As someone who is severely dyslexic and has autism I cried out of frustration towards the adults who bullied him

The title "Tareen Zameen Par" means "Stars on the Ground" and is a metaphor to every child being a star😇

this touched a nerve for me, seeing because of my Autism I've always been misunderstood and seen as nothing but a disabled kid. this has basically destroyed my life, having been stuck in a negative spiral for more then 10 years, I've lost count after ten years. so seeing a boy being understood for who he is and what he can do, touched me deeply, because my help always came and still comes too late. the only reason I'm able to express this now, is because I recently found medicine that is the solution to a problem of mine that has kept me in this negative spiral for so many years. (the worst part is that people online have shown me that they'd rather be jerks than open themselves up to others. so even if I opened up now, I won't be surprised when people try to belittle me further. but that is the sad reality we all live in, people would rather act like jerks and childish, than try to act like that teacher did.)

This teacher is one of my favorite people in cinema. Just hearing a recap makes me teary. Such a kind and passionate teacher who cares and is open. To have a student who was destroyed from learning. That's disheartening and seeing his dedication being be so undermined is really heart breaking.

I’m dyslexic and couldn’t read until 5th grade. This makes me so emotional man. If more teachers were like this it wouldn’t be the issue it is. 1 out of almost 40 teachers cared enough to find out what was wrong

This movie shows the lasting impacts of punishing and neglecting children who don't do well in school just because they think differently. It was inspirational to see the creative ways Ishaan learned writing.

Man this made me cry. It tells us that we all have different intelligence. It also tells us that being bad at academic is not dumb, being bad at academic is because of lack of focus, student that hate studying, and there's a lot of reasons. It doesn't mean you are dumb. Everyone should know this.
  • This movie deserved an Oscar. Nostalgic. Sometimes our country comes out with gems like these. This is one of the movies you can't find a fault in coz you don't want to.

This movie reduced me to tears. When my my mum and stepdad were told that I had Dyslexia it of course broke their hearts when I was diagnosed with it from 5 years old. I never let it got to me and I progressed and took each day as it came along. Today I am an author of two poetry books and I thank my parents and teachers for helping me from school to university. Helping others has made me a more confident person as I was very nervous to talk about this to anyone.

Thank god the principal wasn't like most: actively encouraging alternate learning for a student with disabilities. Yes, he wanted the specialized school at first, but he listened and supported Ram's confidence. We need more schools like this.
  • @OuYouLi
Im crying hardly, I feel what he felt, His parents need to understand this before he was even scolded. Ram is the teacher everyone wants and needs, Beautiful.
  • Wow! This video made me emotional. If all teachers and parents are like this, life will be a lot more easier for students going through such condition.

"So it was his parents who were lazy, oh snap" this guy is so funny i almost spilt my drink
  • @Kevin-cy2dr
I had a friend like this who couldn't function well in traditional schooling, but he was exceptional with Art. His parents were very supportive too. I hope he is doing well.

This is such a great movie. My kids are autistic, one is also dyslexic and another is also has dyspraxia. Just having people aware there is a reason they struggle and need different approaches is a huge help for their self esteem
  • This is such a touching story, what a great teacher he was to take notice and help that baby.
