What bothers me is I've watched so many of these "why i left buzzfeed" type videos about how terrible a company it was and how overworked everyone is, and yet when I was younger watching those buzzfeed videos I remember being like "wow I want to work in a place like buzzfeed" because everyone made it look so fun.

I’ve never heard a “Why I Left” with this much detail. It’s crazy because it makes so much sense. I never realized how overworked you guys were

The fact that the American bar is so low that people think “ you have health insurance, why are you complaining” thoughts from a canada who has not had to be scared of that, so not right

To be completely honest, I could tell throughout the years that Jen wasn't having as much fun at BuzzFeed. She was starting to look less happy and less enthusiastic in her later videos.

Your story describes corporate America perfectly. Most of my colleagues are medicated and we joke about how we’re drowning daily but should be thankful to be employed. People leave and their positions are eliminated with the work spreading among the rest of the team.

I’m 45 and I think one of the wisest things I ever heard is “just because he has a broken leg doesn’t mean your broken finger doesn’t hurt”. Sure. There is ALWAYS someone worse off but it doesn’t mean your struggle doesn’t exist. Take care of yourselves!

I have to simply say this, no company is a family, the people you meet become part of yours. A company is just that, work. I’m glad y’all are still together as friends and took back your life to be the best you.
