Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a 2024 science fiction adventure movie directed by Wes Ball. It’s surprisingly good and here I give a review of the film and why the follow up to Rise, Dawn and War is so awesome. Noah carries on from Caesar in what is essentially the best franchise following a classic brand in the modern day.

The planet of the apes movies is the most consistent franchise I’ve ever seen in terms of quality

Fun fact: Eagles were used in the inauguration ceremonies of Roman Emperors. As soon as the eagles chose to aid Noa, I understood what the writer was telling us

Every time a Planet of the Apes vid shows up in my feed WHAT A WONDERFUL DAYYY!
  • I love how most unanimously agree that Dawn is the best out of them all. I have much love for that movie

When Proximus Caesar was shouting “What a wonderful day”, I found it funny.

With the exception of Tim Burton's Apes movie I find it interesting how this franchise keeps surprising everybody with its quality. When the first Planet of the Apes movie was pitched, nobody took the idea seriously and it took a lot of convincing to have it made. Then it was released and it became a franchise juggernaut. Then came Rise of the Planet of the Apes and everybody thought it'd be dead on arrival, and we ended up with not one, but three excellent movies n a rare instance of a perfect movie trilogy And now Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and the same story again. Everybody expected it to fail as a sequel and under Disney's new ownership, and it was a massive hit yet again surprising everyone with its storytelling and characters. Planet of the Apes is no joke.

Caesar being turned into a religious figure is such a perfect decision. Hopefully it continues into the next films. It’s also amazing how the films play back to the originals. Even with escape talking about the first ape to speak saying “no” and how we got to see that moment recreated again in Rise.

Nice! It made $240 million dollars against a $160 million dollar budget. This franchise will certainly never die.

This is supposed to be the fourth film in a series of nine. Imagine if the final film features a civilised ape culture where an ape scientist who is testing a cure for Simian Alzheimer's on humans and inadvertently makes them stronger and smarter.

The reboot Planet of the apes movies are what the latest Jurassic world movies should have been as well . Heck , Dominion could have been a kind of ''Planet of dinosaurs'' reboot in a way
  • What Wes Ball did with this movie astounded me! Continuing the story of Caesar by exploring his legacy as an almost religious figure was brilliant. On top of that the VFX were immaculate and the performances just as impressive. An epic return to this world that has me wanting a lot more!
  • I’ve seen some people complain about how it’s slow but I just love the world building. How every moment has led up to this world with remnants of human structures being taken over by nature and the culture they created. Excited to see more

I think they did a phenomenal job with a plot that really understands the full world we’re in while also keeping the story character focused

The way the film ended with every character looking up into space. That's no coincidence they're definitely ramping up to the originals.

People saying its boring and slow its just insane to me. Btw, I think the trilogy is gonna be about the nuclear war
  • @Nicholas_Lee25
I can see your point of view about people foolishly complain about it being slow but I won’t go so far to insult them because people have different preferences
  • Wes Ball is doing the live action Zelda Movie so if this is good I have hope for the Zelda Movie.

i went into this movie thinking that its probably just an average 4th movie but what i saw blew my mind this movie is just the perfect example of how to make a 4th movie right
