Arlington National Cemetery is the most famous cemetery in the United States – and likely the entire world. It's the final resting place of some of the country's greatest heroes. More than 400,000 veterans from every major American conflict dating back to the Revolutionary War are buried in Arlington.

The cemetery is quite large. At 639 acres, it's roughly the size of 472 football fields. There are about 30 funerals conducted on weekdays and seven on Saturdays. Still, the waitlist to get buried at Arlington National Cemetery can be quite lengthy.

The cemetery was established during the Civil War. Over the years, many famous individuals have been laid to rest there. John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline, as well as Ruth Bader Ginsburg and William Howard Taft, are just a few of the highly influential individuals connected to US politics who are buried at Arlington.

Naturally, since so many classic Hollywood leading men and women served in the military, it makes sense that there would be quite a few film and television stars to be buried at Arlington as well. In this video, Facts Verse will pay our respects to the Hollywood Celebrities who are buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Lee Marvin, Jackie Cooper, Audie Murphy, and many others laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, may they all rest in peace. 🕊️🇺🇲🙏
  • In military cemeteries spouses aren't buried beside their military spouse, they are "stacked" in the same grave

You might want to go back and change Dashle Hammett date of birth. You said May of 1984 should be May of 1894 cause if he was born in 1984 he would not have been born to have written any of the books to make the movies you talked about plus he would not have been alive to drive for the Ambulance Corps in WWI

You missed Constance Bennett, because of her WWII work and she was married till she passed away in 1965 to a Brigadere General , she died at home in Fort Dix where her husband was then stationed.

Hammet, born "May 27, 1984" must have been some talent to write all those books and short stories over forty years before he was even born.

I’ve been to Arlington. A Very Moving experience.
  • I've visited Arlington Cemetery & Audie Murphy's grave & found it very moving! However, this video showed actor & former Navy pilot Wayne Morris, but didn't depict him, in it! He was the only pre-WWII actor to become an "Ace", shooting down more than five enemy aircraft! Kudos to him, Murphy & all those actors who served!
