Fun fact: Dogs are perfect companions for Cheetahs in captivity. Cheetahs are extremely anxious and can get very lonely quickly, but humans are really unsuitable for becoming their friends biomechanically, they simply can't give Cheetahs what they need so a dog can help them and can be used to get cheetahs used to humans and are often lifelong partners for them. Dogs being ambassadors for humans is truly understated. Cheetahs also have the habit of licking their friends for a long time like a house cat can. House cat licking is uncomfortable because they have little spines on their tongues, but all cats have them and the bigger they are the bigger the spines. Cheetah tongues can draw blood. So a dogs fur can resist that unlike human skin.
