1920's and 30's Pulp Fiction Writier Robert E Howard Home. Howard was the creator of Conan the Barbarian and Red Sonja. He is considered the father of Sword and Sorcery literature and a leader in pulp ficition along with his close friend HP Lovecraft.

One of my favorite authors, it's wonderful they've preserved his house as a national historic place.

That is a pretty cool bit of literary history. Is there a type of history Texas doesn't have? 🙂We find many historic homes are not open and have such limited open times it takes some real planning to tour them. Thanks for sharing!

That's really tragic. It must have taken quite a toll on him mentally and physically caring for his mom. Terrible way for his mom to die as well. You can imagine the great stories he might have written in the future. Very interesting. Thanks😊
