I met Rick at an after party one time. What a cool guy, down to earth, just one of the guys. He was actually interested in me and my family and was very engaging to talk to. I wish he would have taken a different path in life, so sad he got caught up in drugs, it was his downfall. He and his great personality and talent will always be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rick in San Diego California on the US Navy Base. He played Hollywood for me and asked me what I thought about it. Just Him and his Guitar..both singing out loud and I Loved It. I hung out with his Nephew and Niece at a Very Respectful Nightclub in Los Angeles Mid City area..The Red Onion. I Miss Them All! Rick James saw me sing Mary Jane a couple of times at Dell's Saloon on Santa Monica Blvd in West LA and he said I was Great At It and Keep It Alive.Babe..as He Left. God Bless Rick James AKA..J.J.
