Nicely done ,Armour lock back in the 80s ,that was there high security line instead of medeco. They were on Yonge st Toronto Canada. Back in the day, nobody could get that keyway . Good job ,nice video

Fantastic picking of one very cool padlock! Thanks for sharing Ash and have a great weekend.
  • Defo a great lock and that picking of it ain't half bad either LN. Such a shame its not working 100%. 🙂👍

With all that great security, Why Oh Why did they make the shackle with cuttouts in it where i usually find 'water resistent' rubber donut rings? Those cuttouts make the shackle thinner and easier to cut, especially if its case hardened and not through hardened. Also leaves a handy starter cut for a hacksaw attack. It really frustrates me when manufacturers do this to an otherwise tough lock. Looks like it was a tricky pick. Nice open.
  • It would've been nice to see what pins were used in this lock. I'm still a beginner level picker, but if i were to guess, I'd guess it is a mix of serated pins and spool pins. That's based on the number of clicks heard and the false set towards the end. What's your opinion and why??
  • @wxdave5448
I didn’t see or hear anything about spools, even with the false set. Any sense of what type of security pins you might have been facing?
  • @WN1X
    That was a stubborn lock
  • @BlindmanDru
Sounds right to me, but I don't know for sure
