I like them over jalapeno and cheese grits and with them topped with butter fried Gulf shrimps. a sprinkle of cayanne and a drizzle pf real garlic butter and parsley or french fried onion powder.

This makes me happy! I lived directly across the street from a wonderful, tiny church in Center City, Philly for 11 years! This was on the menu every Sunday, along with greens, mac and cheese and the greatest chicken I have ever tasted! The wonderful lady Pastor made sure all her neighbors were fed and loved! I have always wanted to make my own. Just wondered about the dipping sauce possibilities. These are beautiful!

I AM WATCHING MY TOMATOES LIKE A HAWK. WHEN THEY ARE BIG ENOUGH I LIKE TO LET THEM GET JUST A HINT OF RED AND THEN SNAG A COUPLE OF THEM TO FRY. BY BEING A LITTLE PINKISH IT MAKES THEM NOT SO TART BUT I LOVE THEM TOTOALLY GREEN TOO. I AM CRAVING THEM EVEN MORE AFTER WATCHING YOUR VIDEO. MOUTH IS WATERING. I WAS RAISED IN INDIANA AND THIS WAS A FAVORITE DISH.

Girl yes!!! I made these and some fried eggplant! Used the tomatoes as the "pasta" and the eggplant as the "chicken" and topped with a little parm and mozzarella 😊
