I really appreciate you guys posting a condensed version of this video here - great use of your DF Clips channel. I often watch these optimized settings videos with the game running and the graphics menu up on my PC, so it's nice to have a quick guide like this so I don't need to skip past the console comparison sections which, while interesting, aren't really useful when I'm just trying to get my game up and running smoothly.

The npcs in the game are amazing they have their super long daily routines and scripted action; you always find some new every encounter
  • @globoaviacao
This game looks and runs amazing on PC, it also has a proper 32:9 support with almost no distortion ate the edges.

For 8GB cards, I think Medium Shadow Quality helps a lot. High Shadow quality enables the "hero lighting" on Aloy and framerate tanks in some of the busier scenes and in cutscenes. Also, it seems 8GB cards seem to hate cutscenes at the High texture setting even when it's fine in gameplay when you boot it up. Setting it to Medium results in a far better experience.

why alex isnt talking about cutscene lag and gradual performance loss the longer u play
  • @sobakabazuka8024
Tell me please. If I set the dynamic dlaa to 45 fps and limit the fps to 40. will this be considered as not achieving the target fps? and will the quality decrease as a result?
  • @unpacker9521
Please look into burning shores which is more graphically demanding and may have different optimized settings
  • @jackshepard4730
low fps cutscenes are still there and no one of YouTubers talks about it 😢
  • @desmond3245
I think you should really use a lower resolution instead of 4k to get more accurate percentage differences in fps. 30fps vs 29fps is a 3% difference in 4K but at 1440p it could be 80 vs 76fps, resulting in a 5% difference.
  • @Bigcountry4415
Are you guys going to do this for the burning shores because that’s where I’m having problems.
  • @Jooglesberry
When I turn high res translucency on, the screen space reflections stop working.

Hey Guys... Metro Exodus Still have insane texture streaming bugs! CONTROL Same thing! Can DF make a video on about thath?
  • @ElonMuskT
thanks dude before i was getting like 65-70 fps now i get 95+ in almost all areas and it looks better visually
  • @memoryboy
There are frametime issues in certain areas (cities) and later even during missions in forbidden shores, most visible when panning the camera, it's all cpu related. My system is 5800x3d / 4080, using VRR 4k dlss quality, no FG/ no reflex.
  • @pransis
Default Translucency makes Aloy's glider look too fuzzy. If you don't mind it go with Default. Otherwise, go for High Resolution.
