Intentional or unintentional, cave diving alone without proper training is suicide.

Dude had an easy life, money and a nice girlfriend. Had a free beach house to live in with no rent. Took it all for granted and lost everything. Moral of the story, be grateful for what you have and stop trying to find more.

Dude is dead in that cave. If he got out (either by himself or another caver taking him out), those dogs would have picked up the scent. The fact that the only scent is the scent of him entering the water tells you everything you need to know.

If you go in planning on never returning, nobody can go as far as you. Maybe he wanted to die and went as deep as he could.
  • Cave diving. Another thing that will never be on my bucket list. Insane. Will never understand it.

The last time I tried to take a "professional leave", I didn't go stay at my parents' beach house in Florida. I stayed in the back seat of my 1974 Ford LTD.

Ben is in there. He was trying to find new passageways and was the kind of diver to take risks. He’d have taken his tanks off and pushed them in a tight squeeze to find new unexplored caves. The lady at the end searched years after all the initial searches and she found a bunch of Ben’s gear buried in the sand. It was right on top but if you set something down and then get silted out when the silt settles it will cover whatever is sitting on the ground. She now thinks he took off his gear and may have pushed into 1 of the super tight unexplored offshoots and she thinks he may have done it to disappear on purpose. She said she will eventually try to explore some of the hard to get in caves but it will take time and patience but thinks she can find Ben’s body.

Ben clearly made poor choices like his younger brother. To frequently dive on your own when not being adequately qualified is incredibly selfish because it puts other lives potentially at risk if any rescue mission needed, and he caused further heart break for his parents unnecessarily. He lacked critical thinking. Imo he died down there NOT through foul play and someone connected with the diving school removed the body as the diving school was already experiencing legal issues. As for the fellow diver, at the start of the journey, if you are going to leave a note asking him to touch base with staff on his return, you're going to check he actually returned in the first place since the dive wasn't logged and you wouldn't want suspicion falling on you for a missing or deceased person. Please stop this Ai generation narration and script, we deserve so much better than that. You're too lazy.
  • @Hard-R-Energy
My guess is he drowned in those caves, and the business found his body and removed it from the premises to protect the business since it was already under scrutiny for past deaths and since many of the employees, including the owner were already facing or had faced legal trouble.

Not a real person narrorating. Very bland old guy voice and just bad script writing all around. Thumbnail and story are misleading. Waste of time.
  • @malibuugirl6627
This is excruciating to follow. I assume it's AI generated and if so, computers do not know how to write to sound human. The script is littered with incorrect words, passive voice, awkward phrases and more painful grammar usage. If you want to use AI, fine, but EDIT before you publish. Don't expect the software to do all the work. It's not that sophisticated.

I've got a full proof way not to die while diving in a cave, dont dive in a cave!
  • @davidbrooks4285
Absolutely no one disappears without a trace UNLESS they want to so I strongly believe since he was in debt to the IRS and the death of his brother and his parents lied about it,an easy way out is to get a new identity
  • @markw6586
The dive shop employee opened the cave gate knowing Ben wasn't certified to be diving cave's, wouldn't that make the dive shop employee liable for his (death)?? And if so they would of realized this and potentially removed the body before raising the alarm he was missing.
  • @amybradley5821
He is still in there. I’ve been diving there. He went too far and probably squeezed past a restriction and couldn’t get back
  • @7JEANN
He got to be there in the cave somewhere, my guts tells me he is there
  • @tedthesailor172
I'm inclined to think there was some degree of foul play. For one thing, if he'd been found to have died by genuine accident, then the individual who let him into the cave, knowing he was unqualified and yet just abandoned him, was surely culpable. At the very least he might face charges of `Involuntary Manslaughter'. But that would require a body, and if none were found then no-one could be charged with anything. Also, his death might've led to much stricter regulation, which could perhaps undermine the profitability of the dive shop. As a result, several people with criminal pasts could find themselves out of a job. Safer for everyone if the corpse just disappeared. After all, it's not like they murdered him. Some 16 professional divers with all the kit and preparation in the world spent 36 days searching - c'mon; how hidden can one amateur get...?
  • He started scuba diving while 50k in debt? Who has priorities like that?
