I want to preface, I am not stating this as a bad thing. It’s just changed a lot of things here in sac, specifically north Sacramento and Arden arcade. Settling over 80,000 afghanis has changed the feeling of large parts of sac. I grew up here and there are times I feel like a visitor here. There are areas where the concentrations are heavy and the storefronts are quickly switching over to Arabic. Of your ok with that then this place is for you!

Not gonna lie I didn’t read the title properly, so I thought this was just a pros and cons of living in 2024 😂

Living in Sacramento, (transplanted from Southern California and then Colorado), for the last 15 years, i have seen it get more crowded, more expensive and there seems to be more shootings, drunk driving accidents. When my son and his wife was looking to buy a home, he refused to consider Sacramento because of the homicide rate. Bicycling here is nice on all of the bike trails, but there are honeless camps along some of those trails and there seems to be a lot of crazy auto drivers that ive encountered while trying to bike on the roadways, even though there are bike lanes. There is decent public transpotation, but i wish that it was as good as it was when i visited the UK years ago! The freeway traffic can get crazy, but ut is nothing like it is in the LA basin area. They do have a free stranded auto-on-the-freeway service. I got a flat while driving on the freeway and pulled over. I had called AAA, but before they could get to me, a city service came and changed my tire for free.

I live in Sacramento absolutetly loved it. and houses are resonably priced for rent. loved the weather. and way less people then big citys. people are nicer.
  • Not going to lie I got accepted to this one program in here we don't start training till October in Sacramento and Loki I'm very excited, not only that I don't think I ever been to Sacramento before so this might be my first time for work and as a living experience man I'm so excited, but the cons is i don't start till October😢
  • Hello, I am looking to move to the Sacramento area specifically Carmichael. I have a job and apartment picked out already. I am wanting more information regarding transportation wise. I cannot drive because of a vision impairment I will be living close by to places. Although I’m interested to know my options on transportation.

As someone born and raised in Sacramento....I wanna know why Los Angeles and San Francisco is in "love" with the town I was born in. Those people move to Sacramento and eventually made it too expensive for me to live here. Like I "need" to be pushed out of my hometown?

Uh, I lived in sac for 30yrs, it's never been an easy drive to the bay. Affordable? No. Summer is to hot. Granite Bay, etc. Are for rich folks. Not really sac. I left in 22 and never looked back!

I have a possible job opportunity in Sacramento where I would be making 79k a year my wife would possibly get around 40k. I'm just wondering would it be worth it with that type of salary

Can you take us in a tour to a mole or famous restaurant in Sacramento 🙏

I grew up in sac it hasn't been affordable since the mid 90's

You guys are increasing home pricing here in sacramento. I make just over $100,000 a year and i cant even afford to own a decent home with my 3 kids. Smh

I'm thinking of moving there from Chicago soon. I'm just wondering two things. Crime and homelessness. -FBI's latest data is from 2022. What are the crime rates in Sacramento currently? Is crime increasing or decreasing? -How bad is homelessness? Is it getting worse than in previous years? And do you think the city is clean?
  • @JorgenHudek
Lobbyists should be a con. Also mosquitos have not bothered me for about 15 years, since I stopped eating animals. Something to think about.
