Even car dealers are not exempt from getting scammed. Another shop tried to take the dealership that owns this 2006 Bentley Continental GT to the cleaners. What did they claim was wrong? ➡️ Don't forget to check out ‪@MrsWizardsWays‬ and her latest Partworks creations www.ebay.com/usr/davidthecarwizard. Auctions end May 1, 2024.

  • The shop that tried to pull the scam should be called out by name.

A dealer getting scammed. The irony of that statement.
  • @Chthonian121
I'd respect people more if they said "Yea we don't have any experience with Bentley's so we can't work on the car" rather than quoting 15k and never get that customer back ever

The metal work in the gauge cluster and in front of the passenger is called Engine Turning. Very 1930s
  • My parents had a 05 Continental GT. The number of problems this thing had nearly caused a divorce.

With premium brand vehicles, IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD A NEW ONE YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP A USED ONE ALIVE

I'm just surprised there's a dealership out there that actually fixes the cars before selling.

When i retired, the first thing i did was get rid of my German car and bought a Toyota. It's going on 7 years old. Looks and drives great. I recently had a dealer oil change and tire rotation. It came back with an inspection report. "Everything looks great!"

I worked as an Audi tech for 15 years. Audi/VW worked its way through most of the alphabet on it coil upgrade part numbers. The heat that they are subjected to, breaks all of the insulators down.
  • "Shockingly in good shape" ...Oh no. Grimes has now progressed to dad joke level of youtuber!
  • @daveli9760
you made a good choice hiring Grimes he is a master mechanic.

What the Wizard stated and I have been saying myself for decades. You can buy a car from anywhere but more importantly you better find a Dealer/Independent shop that you trust when your cart needs service. I drove Saab's for 35 years and used an independent shop that only serviced Saab's. We had a great relationship and their work was absolutely perfection. Never had to take any repair back because something wasn't done right the first time. Grimes is a gem! Never give him a reason to stray elsewhere away from Omega.

@ Mrs. Wizard. They are not “Opera pulls” they are “Organ pulls” . Love your channel.

That pattern on the dash is 'engine turned' or 'perlage' - very ornamental indeed.

Like the Mercedes, if you can't afford a new Bentley, you certainly can't afford a used one.

My dreamcar for 15 years now. Will never own one, but always admire.

Saw this puppy in the shop when you guys looked at my Rover for me, Grimes is a keeper! Enjoyed chatting with he and Daniel. Keep up the great work Wizard!
