Which video explains the cv joint replacement? I couldn't find it on your page.
  • @armedfarm3429
Just take out the diff, remove the side plate bolts & replace the worn parts, it's a very simple drive box, once you have one apart you can swap in new parts & have it back in the machine in a couple hours.
  • can i just remove axles and differentials and bolt the tires back on until i can find the replacement differential

I have a question for you guys I just bought a 2005 Polaris ATP 500ho I bought new cv axles I noticed the old ones you can slide them out very easily I haven't taken them out yet I could slide the CV axle almost out of the differential with no resistance is that normal both boots are completely gone on the old CV axles and I got oil leaking down on both front tires I bought the wheeler on Facebook market.

I removed, and installed the front differential in my '12 Ranger HD from the side. Nothing removed except axles and hubs. No need to remove the duct either. You can slip the differential in carefully.
  • hey mate love your videos could you please put a link or tag me in the rebuild video I can't find it

After watching this video, I have a question. My 2004 4X4 Ranger 500 seems to have a bind when turning tight. It acts like the 4 wheel drive is engaged. I've put the machine on jack stands and then put it in each gear both with and without the 4 wheel drive engaged. When the switch is off the front wheels don't turn.
  • should you hear the front diff engage when selecting 4wd or will you hear anything?
  • How do you repair the steel that holds the front diff?I need to weld and fix cause holes are torn

When these splines are worn badly, does it make a clink sound when hitting bumps?
  • @mrwhamisrick
When the splines get work and sloppy does it cause driveline vibration at higher speeds?
  • @stumpfarm3714
How many miles or hours did you have on the Ranger before replacing the differential?
  • @bearbait2221
PACK SPLINES WITH ULTRABLACK TO KEEP DIRT AND WATER OUT WORK LIKE A CHARM
  • @StarD435
Mind telling us the pricing of replacing these supplies?
  • @1ajs
when moving does this make the front end noisy?

There's an easier way? Jack buggy completely off floor Pop Dr side upper bj and lower shock bolts. Pop axle out of diff. Psgr side do the same but also take axle stub nut off. Pop axle out of diff and remove. Put buggy in neutral, crawl underneath, and with one foot rotate rear tire to line roll pin with hole in floor pan. Long punch and drive it out. Pull 4 mounting bolts. Reach thru gap left by axle and disconnect wires and breather tube. Rotate diff on its side, pulling it away from rear drive shaft Slide diff thru gap left by missing axle. Takes about 20 minutes
