Christopher Columbus does exist as an heroic spirit in Fate universe. But he's a little bit TOO accurate to his real life lore as opposed to what usually what fate does.

to be fair with kiritsugu, if i got in to this holy grail war prior to watching fate, i too would assume it concedes my wish regardless of wether i know how to do it or not, i mean, if i want a freaking ferrari, i want my freaking ferrari, why do i have to know how it's made? or why would i need to order the grail to steal it from somebody else? that sounds like a underwhelming holy grail to me

By the way there was an event in Fate/grand order called Fate/zero accel order and Diarmud actually won the war in there! (was seeing you using Kariya's sprite from that event so that comed to mind naturally)

Funny thing about Tokiomi's motives. See, it doesn't come up here, but as you get more into Fate, you realize that Mages, as a whole, are shady bastards. And Tokiomi managed to have two daughters who were both born stupidly talented. He can give ONE of them the thing in his body that lets them use his family magic. The other one can't get it, and thus can't defend herself from, say, being vivisected by shady wizards to further their own fucked up research (which is LITERALLY what he's worried about). Then comes this other family that he's relatively close to, who go "Yo, we'll protect her." So he takes them up on it. Why doesn't he tell Kariya this, you ask? Gee, I wonder why Tokiomi wouldn't be honest with the guy who's been unironically being trying to NTR his wife for years, and doesn't seem to understand that she's just not into him. Honestly, the dude probably just wanted an excuse to set him on fire, and I don't even blame him for that. Funny story, in the Apocrypha, Sakura got adopted by Luvia's family, so instead of worms, Sakura became part of a tag team wrestling duo.

I love Rider and Waver, Ilrisviel and Illya and I would have liked to like Kiritsigi more but the part about Saber being more man than he was is oh-so-true
