This is just PART 1 of the Ultimate Table Saw Jigs collection that I've put together. Jigs are such an important part in the wood shop and are essential when you're looking for consistency, repeat-ability, and ease of a specific task. A good jig is one that isn't too complex but can tremendously simplify a given process, and I think I've got three here that fit this bill. The first three jigs that I'd like to show you in this video are the Thin Strip Jig, Fisher's Crosscut Sled, and the Miter Sled Attachment. If you'd like to build these jigs, I'll have plans available on my website.

I’m glad you include your mistakes as well - makes us feel normal!
  • @AlFerguson
Thanks for the out takes. It is comforting for a beginner to see someone with skills make mistakes
  • Being " New " to this ....... The tool racks alone are worth a like and subscribe ....... Great stuff
  • @m.d.d.3051
Kudos to the man. He even has the cojones to show us he isn't perfect and actually glues himself to his projects, forgets to let the blade stop when cutting short pieces on a miter saw, and the trial and error it takes to actually perfect a design. Loved the outtakes portion ....
  • @BryGy
Your outtakes are worth the price of admission!
  • That is like the 57 Thunderbird of table saw sleds. Small, sleek, and the envy of everyone! I really like the idea of the detachable front fence. Nice touch. Love the included dry humor at no additional cost. Great video, and great sled.
  • @thomream1888
Your content got my 'like'. Your outtakes got my sub! Nice to know even the pros make mistakes, but know it's not the end of the world.
  • @adrianabshire
Glueing your finger in the outtake made me LOL! Too funny! thanks for sharing this!
  • I love the information.......and the sarcasm and humor during the video!
  • @kylewright8512
Easily the coolest crosscut sled I've seen yet, definitely going to make this one
  • @jeffberg2010
I love your outtakes. Thanks for showing some humility.
  • @stefan2473z
Dude make more vids.. They are way more educational than any of the mainstream guys I USED TO follow. Simple, easy, dumbed down enough for me to understand. Got yourself another sub
  • @dia35
I absolutely love that you referenced William Ng. As I just watched his video a day or two ago but love your design. So...I'll be incorporating both into my build. Thank you.

This is my first viewing of anything from your channel, but I've got to say that you are my new favorite youtube woodworker. Very common sense, short sweet and to the point, no plugs for expensive equipment, and you do things in the manner that real, everyday woodworkers do things. You had me at "world's rustiest washer." A+

Those bloopers are so important for the less experienced of us, so we don't get to depressed. Good fun. Thanks. Aaannd.... thanks for the great inspiration you just provided. Instant subscribe.
  • Great video! I ordered a set of the plans for Table Saw Jigs 1-3. They look like just what I have been wanting to build for my own saw at home. I showed my wife your motto on your YouTube site: "Where Simple Projects Are Made Overly Complex" and she laughed saying "Well you found a kindred spirit!" Thank you for the entertaining, well done videos and the accompanying well priced plans, they're much appreciated.
  • Slick I’ve started doing segmented turnings and need 1/8” and 1/4” strips for detail stripes this is perfect thank for posting
  • @beaverx37
I love that you keep the outtakes in the video! Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who goes through all the trouble make something and the darn motor gets in the way haha
  • @johnnyhath
Not only have I too glued myself to material before, but I've also nailed myself to a stud when trying to frame up a wall. Feel your pain brother, but thanks for turning it to humor and sharing it with us. It always brightens my day when I see a new one of your videos pop into my subscription feed.
  • @Mr.Mister67
Thanks for adding the bloopers in each video. Entertaining and it encourages me to know I'm not the only one who blunders through projects sometimes. Keep up the great work!
