I hope you enjoy my review of Nathaniel Hawthorne's Young Goodman Brown! It clocks in at just over 6 minutes. This was written before his most famous work, The Scarlet Letter.

Thanks so much for this review. I read this for my eng. 1302 class and needed better wording for an essay. The diction in the story can be difficult to put into today’s vocabulary😂

Thanks so much! Super helpful and interesting!
  • I had to listen to go listen to this story, of course, when I saw your video 😂 Fantastic review- I didn't think about how he "lost his faith." And yes hypocrisy is definitely a big theme for Hawthorn!! I DO like you! 😃
  • Supper cool content. Perfection is another way to describe it. Supper helpful and modern. You did a great job! Keep it up! So to speak

I don’t think I’ve ever subscribed to a Channel so fast. Came for the cliff notes, stayed for the turtle secrets.

One of the best short stories from an American writer! I remember hating literature (love it now!) but will never forget when I enrolled into a critical thinking literature course during my first year of college and we read this around Halloween time. It was the most frightening experience as I sat on my deck overlooking rural America during a trip to my uncles house. I never saw any forest, woods, or wilderness the same after reading it...I hope they make a movie out of it!
