Honestly Armin is one of the most sane killers I have ever seen, He never forced anybody and was only willing to cannibalize someone who was volunteering, I doubt any other cannibal would ask for consent and let you leave if you didn't wanna get eaten.

Armin was the consent king of his times really. Not that it matters or anything but I kinda appreciate that he honored his victim wishes??? Idk this whole story is a bit weird

I think he doesn't even deserve to be in jail to be honest... He's sick, he needs treatment, but honestly he found a fully aware and consenting adult, he respected his victims wishes all throughout the process, he knows how to control his urges and only applied them in a suitable situation, I mean... He's 1000% better than that Japanese guy and he's out of jail while Armin is in jail... Idk

… I honestly don’t think there’s anything we can take away from this case except for the fact that Armin had more respect for another person’s wishes (however unorthodox/questionable/morally grey) than many more people do in a lifetime.

One of the arguments they used to give him a longer sentence was that Brandes was actually passed out when his throat was slit. So, even though he came there wanting to be killed and eaten he didn't fully give his consent right before he was killed... As a side note, I always found Armin's story really sad. He was just a super lonely guy. He's one of those cannibals who ate someone because he wanted that person to never leave him. Can you imagine being that lonely?!
