It will be the ultimate swan song game if Novak finds a way to beat this seemingly unstoppable version of Alcaraz to finally win his gold.
-
Bold prediction. Carlos also has been making fewer errors than ever. He has to be the favorite but remains to be seen.
-
I feel you @IntuitiveTennis. Djokovic has had more time to recover, more matches under his belt. He’s fine tuning. And he’ll have new tactics in store for Carlos. Novak will rely heavily on his self-hypnosis. The thing is, I think Carlos’ team has unlocked the power of hypnosis. Certain beliefs, strategies, and tactics have been installed in Alcaraz’s mind. He’s matured. He is calm in rallies. He may be able to play at his A to S level as well. This will be 3 sets, close sets, hard fought. Carlos said he’s ready to get the gold for his country. I can’t predict the outcome of the match though. It could go either way.

Alcaraz seems unstoplable at the moment, but if someone can do it its Nole
-
Good analysis. I think Alcaraz’s best chance is if he serves really well like he did in the Wimbledon final. In that final he upped the mph on both first and second serves which surprised Novak, who actually commented on it after the match. If Carlos is struggling to hold serve at the beginning of the match, I think Novak gets the gold.
-
Olympic gold is Novak's goal
-
It was actually quite easy to beat Musetti. Novak's strategy was to play almost everything to Musetti's backhand, which did the trick. Musetti didn't stand a chance. Alcaraz will be a completely different story
-
Looking forward to this one, should be epic
-
Alcaraz is the best player right now, end of discussion.
-
Love Novak but only 30% chance he's going to win.
-
Alcaraz right now is like Graf in 1988. nobody could really stop him. he needs his own "Monica Seles" or he will get 12+ GS in 4 years alone.
-
Because you have been waiting for something for a long time doesn’t mean you will achieve it……..it’s all about levels. Carlos has now won 12 matches on two surfaces. The confidence is surreal and he really really loves his country. Carlos will win for three reasons. 1. Level, 2. Speed, 3. Movement
-
Hope Djoko can level Alcarez or even better. But Alcarez is soooo talented.
-
Novak needs to play super high risk high reward style to beat alcaraz. If he decides to play the percentages as he usually does with other opponents that won't work against vamos.
-
😮100% carlos..but let the best man win..best luck to both..go.carlos go❤❤❤❤🎉
-
I'm for Djoko, but Alcaraz is monstrous
-
Hope Nole wins, but Carlos is too good
-
I hope to see him tear his shirt after winning again like in what tournament that I couldn't recall.😂🎉

The only time that Novak won against Alcaraz on Clay, Alcaraz was cramping like crazy. I personally think Novak has no chance. The only way to have a chance against Alcaraz is to match his intensity and give him no time to the balls. That's why Sinner, Tommy and Tiafoe are able to take him to the limit. Novak doesn't have that today, he's able to play with his superior shot making against most players but that's not enough against the top 2 today.
