In his prime ‘Iron Mike‘ was nothing short of absolutely terrifying. His dark aura and fearsome punching power made him into one of the most destructive forces in boxing history. The Brooklyn native rose through the ranks at an alarming rate. He eliminated every opponent in his path en route to becoming the youngest heavyweight world champion of all time at just 21 years of age. It is nice to see the after fights interview and especially the ones in the 80s, how respectful the losing boxers were. That's old school true sportsmanship.

I had a bad image of Tyson when I was a kid because of the ear story.. but all I see is a man who wants to thank each of his opponents after each fight! humble !

What I admire in all these boxers back in the day, there was no trash talking or disrespect to the opponent, or rage. All were humble and even complemented Tyson after losing and being interviewed. True sportsmanship.

More than 30 years later we’re still talking about Mike Tyson. That’s true greatness. I’m glad life has allowed Mike the redemption he deserves.
  • @Raydenlmao
"It was my pleasure to give you a shot at the title. You deserved it." absolute best consolation words possible, class act
  • @Axel92ab
Mike was so respectful, even to his defeated opponents, is just brilliant.

I love the man he’s become… he’s becoming one of the most respected and revered humans to grace us. He’s more than a champ

"Everybody's got a plan until they get hit in the face." [ quote from Mike Tyson ]
  • one beautiful about Mike is especially in his younger years he ALWAYS went to check on the other guy and congratulate them and make sure they were alright. He KNEW how dangerous he was.
  • @brentcepticon
He was just good . His body type, arm length, frame and build, dedication, attitude, perfection of theorizing attacks and movements etc. everything was just a perfect storm for him to be the most optimal opponent in boxing
  • @jnbfrancisco
My favorite Tyson quote is "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face".
  • It's nice to see when ppl were humble and actually gave praise to someone better then them. They don't do that these days.

Mike Tyson in his prime would beat any other boxer from any other era. Respect to them all, but Tyson was impossible.
  • @Atilowski
4:02 and 6:22 those guys were really humble to admit respectfully their losses.
