It's a nervous start as I ride my Priority 600 from Gahanna, OH to London, OH and camp overnight. All video shot with the GoPro Black 12.

I loved seeing this. It was nice to see how honest you were about being a bit anxious, and yet you did it anyway! Nice.

Nice job ! I've been bikepaking on and off road for over 45 yrs. I'm now 70, the complete packing set up must always include " insurance ". Tools , patch kit , extra tube, power bank for phone and a basic first aid kit. Home made cookies also!😊
  • Only 45 seconds in but love the fact you're doing this! Now back to watch the rest of the video and see how it turns out!

Thanks for the great video, I understand the nervousness but great job to push through it and complete the trip! Add another accomplishment to your resume!

I just did my first overnight bike packing trip too !! I retired last year and spent the fall and winter getting all my gear in order. I drove to Rochester, NY and rode the Erie Canalway trail west and camped at one of the mowed pull off areas (no facilities) along the trail for one night and rode back the next day. I learned I needed to bring ear plugs for next time as the geese there honked all night !! I have camping reservations in early June along Pine Creek Trail in Pennsylvania and will probably do the Armstrong Trail and Redbank Valley Trail in May. Happy Trails !!

As we say Andrew, nobody starts out a legend. Everybody has to do a first trip. Looks like you pushed your comfort zone and found your groove. We're all proud of you as we all started out as first timers right there with you. Keep riding, keep learning, and I'll see you Out There on my 600x!

Bike touring is addictive, I brought a trunk bag when I rode the trans am, and ended up ditching it so I could load my tent and dry bag horizontally across my rear rack and panniers, I stopped breaking spokes when I did that. Cool vid thanks for bringing us along on your first trip of what I assume will be many!
  • Hello Andrew and thank you for your video. As a teen I camped out in the bush of Alaska under a tarp lean-to and was scared shitless. Subsequent trips were less fearful. Keep up and thanks for the video.

Great video! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Made me nostalgic. I used to live in the Columbus area in Grove City and my wife and I would ride Camp Chase towards London all the time.

I really like the priority 600 except for the front fender which I took off. Good luck on your bike touring and thanks for subscribing.
