Brock Purdy is terrorizing the NFL, and there is nothing that defenses can do about it. Kyle Shanahan, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers offense is absolutely loaded with superstar talent, but, don’t think Brock Purdy is just some guy. He has proven through the first month of the 2023 season that he is absolutely a legit quarterback, and he is the lead dog of a devastating attack. How good is he really? This week’s episode uses the coaches all 22 to analyze the 49ers offense with Quarterback Brock Purdy leading the way.

  • Summarized: Purdy's processor is incredibly fast, he knows the ins and outs of both coverage shells and pass-rush looks, and he's ICE-COLD under pressure. He might not have all the physical tools, but he's an incredibly intelligent QB who won't back down to any defense.

“But what if…” blah blah blah. Purdy is COOKING.
  • @Nvme18
Crazy how Alex came to this conclusion without even putting his 20-21 game. Easily his best game this season. The kid legit.

What’s been underrated is Purdys Connection with Aiyuk. I feel like they’ve built some chemistry which has led to their success on the field.

Purdy is really unlocking that Shanahan offense that has had to be dumbed down years prior. His ability to read a defense and his field vision is incredible for a second year player. He plays like a long time veteran.
  • Poise, pocket presence and vision are far more valuable QB traits than arm strength. I wish the football world would figure that out.
  • @Nitrox-.
For a guy that was barely drafted just a bit more than a year ago, this is impressive development. Sure, he has a lot of talented help and great coaching but considering he has already outdeveloped all expectations by a mile, I'm excited to see what he can become.

Brock Purdy has that Drew Brees accuracy and pocket passing ability!

If Brock were a 1st round pick, people would be claiming him as the next great one. But because he’s the last pick of the draft, people can’t believe their eyes. He’s here people. Trust your eyes.

Brock's elite strengths: Pocket poise, progression processing, quick/accurate release, tough as nails.
  • He’s play style reminds me of the GOAT’s. He’ll throw short throws and if you give him a gimme he’ll punish you deep. He’s the real deal.
  • @agreen182
You said he and Jimmy G are the same guy😂😂
  • @JoshBreakdowns
3:05 WR Jauan Jennings knocks Aaron Donald back as if Jennings were playing Tackle, giving Purdy time to make that throw 🔥

Purdy has scrambled less this season. He has that in his bag, but last season he relied on that a little too much especially in the Dallas game in the divisional rd and left some yards on the field. This season he seems to be more reliant presnap recognition and anticipation which has led to some really impressive throws. And BTW, he completed some nice deep balls vs Arizona. His deep ball is not consistent but he CAN make those throws I would like to see him use his legs a little more but what he and Shanahan arre doing is certainly working. The Niners offense hasn't used YAC as much this season to gain yards..Purdy is #10 in air yards thrown....SF QBs have traditionally been bottom 10 in this metric. And he is also throwing over the middle a bit less this season based on his throw charts, which may be the reason his INT % is very low ( something Arod used to do)

How’s this? “If Troy Aikman would’ve played for the Lions, he wouldn’t be a Hall Of Famer” but guess what? He did. And he won and he is. Brock may not be the create a player that Anthony Richardson is but he’s incredibly smart, a leader and has BALLS. and fits perfectly into his coaches scheme.
  • @YanChose
Brock Purdy can play and be successful in any timing based/west coast offense. He's way more than a game manager, carried by surrounding talent.
  • @CaptnCrunch247
One of the biggest questions that I have is how could have Purdy's college coach been so WRONG in his assessment of Purdy's talents and capabilities?! This is a man who was around him on a football field for FOUR YEARS! 🤷‍♂️
  • @tstreams7361
Everyone tried to tell you he ain’t the same as Jimmy G, Glad you finally came around
