No public funding should ever be spent for private profits .
  • You tell them Senator John Kennedy ! You have common sense and didn't take any BS from those cake eaters ! 👍

We don't have unlimited money, this is not Princeton. Pure gold!
  • Let’s spend billions of dollars a year so that the temperature in 2124 is 0.01 degrees cooler. Biggest money scam ever created.

We shouldn't be subsidizing gas or electric ? Especially when the Federal Government alone is $35 TRILLION in debt.

As a retired man trying to live on SS, I can hardly afford to keep my 16 year old car in good repair than afford a $60,000 EV that I don't want. :face-orange-frowning:

Electric cars are not sustainable. Batteries are ridiculous
  • @hankgs
WHY is Hertz and Avis DUMPING EV cars....? BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO DRIVE THEM
  • @LMike2004
Why should taxpayers pay for someone else to own an EV?

I got out of a movie around 11pm just last week and I had parked on the other side of the mall. I’m walking to my car and I see this line of like 8 vehicles from afar and I couldn’t tell what was going on… As I got closer I realized they were waiting in line to charge their cars at one of three charging stations in the mall parking lot. Blew my mind. These people were waiting an hour or more to charge their vehicle at 11pm on a Saturday night; some had their kids in the car. I hopped into my gas powered car and happily drove off.

They make me pay for a wealthy person to have a car I’ll never afford.
  • If those clowns on the board represent the electric car industry, they are in trouble. The professor was the worst smug, pansy of them all.

EV's have a much higher carbon footprint than a gasoline car.
  • Where do the approximately 100 million people who don't have a driveway, let alone a garage, and have to park at the curb charge their EVs? 100 million extension cords across sidewalks?? Sounds like a slip-fall lawyer's dream come true.

EV's DON'T WORK anywhere but a Big City where NO ONE ever leaves home and work within 10 miles of their home.
  • @potterj09
This is a stepping stone to get everyone accepting that they're not allowed to own a car at all.
