The pyramids were actually perfectly smooth like metal - they were covered in limestone, were nicely polished and shiny. The rough bricks that we see today are a result of an earthquake that loosened the facades. Then the limestone/other precious materials were taken/stolen to build other structures. Edit: Thank you for the corrections everyone.
  • Kudos to Bayek and Senu for recording this video and showing us the life in ancient Egypt

Fan fact:there were still mammoths around when the pyramid of Giza was being constructed
  • @UltraNooob
Props to the guy who went back in time and recorded all this for us to see

Egypt is so old it was ancient history even for the Roman's. It was probably the most successful advanced civilization in the history of mankind lasting over 4000 years!
  • Even when I was a child, I have always been fascinated with Ancient Egypt. And until now I'm still in awe with the beauty of this civilization.

This channel is amazing. As someone who loves ancient Egypt since childhood, this is a real treat. The music, the animation, perfectly created. I have rewatched this video perhaps 30x now haha! Thank you New Historia!

Actually, what we called “Egypt” back then was the lush, heavily populated green valley along the nile comparable to the fertile crescent. Egypt was not the desert, as no civilization can thrive in the desert, but rather an eden-like paradise full of fruits and bursting with crops. The sandy desert towns portrayed here are more like the work camps near giza but definitely not the mainstream of egypt

Wow, really wish I could go back in time to these periods. The night sky back then must have been such a wonderful sight to behold. This is really cool.
  • @Heyitsbonny
One of my favorite games of all time 👌🏻 The synchronizations are the best because you get a 360* view of the scenery from the sky
  • @whatsgoingon07
Fun fact: Egypt is as ancient to the Roman Empire as the Roman Empire is to us
  • If one wish is granted, I would like to travel back in time and visit this magnificent time period of Egyptians.
  • What I really like about these animations is the vibrancy. Far too often we get dull looking versions of what the ancient world looked like, which always makes it feel less real, unattached to today, when really, just like today, there are all sorts of beautiful colours and details. Well done ❤❤❤

  • This video depicts the “ancient” Egypt that the ancient Greeks like herodotus visited over 2000 years ago. It was already ancient by that time.

So amazing! I can totally picture the temple for Sobek coming alive in this fashion. It would be really amazing to see a similar rendition for the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan. For me, one of the most amazing looking cities ever created by humankind with its monumental architecture, canals, palaces, floating gardens and floating farms, bustling markets, incredible sculptures and vibrant colours.
  • WoW better than any movie I have ever seen, captures the Era of Egyptian history in a magical way 💕
