At least four more House Democrats now say they believe President Biden should leave the race, bringing the total to at least nine. The President remains defiant, campaigning in Pennsylvania, joking about his age. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez and Hallie Jackson provides analysis for TODAY.

    I don’t agree that the voters chose him as our candidate. We weren’t given another choice because he chose to run and people generally don’t run against a sitting president.

    I believe Adam Schiff is absolutely correct in saying whether Biden will have made the right decision? Unfortunately, this can only know from a vantage point in the future from which we can look back to this present time with hindsight. Biden is simply willing to gamble with the well-being of this country for his own selfish interests. I'm a progressive Democrat, but he must absolutely go. Any more waiting not only hurts the party but the country as a whole.

    It doesn't matter if Biden "believes he can do this" - my mother had 9-10 TIA's (trans ischemic attacks - mini-strokes ) that mirrored exactly how Biden acted in the debate. Then a massive and disabling full stroke- that happened suddenly and which she died from eventually. I've taken care of elderly people for last 20 years - and one stroke, aneurysm, heart attack, fall - can change the entire capacity of a person overnight. Get real, Biden is resisting a full neurology scan and consult, and we have to understand that this denial of diminished capacity is common...
