  • I live in a nursing home. I'm bed bound but I have figured a way to fix it in here for me and my friends. So I love this salad and use to eat it at least once a week at home. I sure do miss it. But now that I see your recipe I am going to make it for sure. Thank you.
  • Thank you so much. My grandma used to make this and I never had her recipe and she has passed away years ago. God bless you.🙏🏻♥️
  • Melissa thank you so much for writing out all the recipes!! That helps so much!!!
  • Your so lucky to have a husband that loves to cook & is not picky. I really enjoy your videos and receipes. 😊

This would be an awesome side dish, but I could eat this as a meal. So delicious looking

My favorite salad. Because I can’t digest raw broccoli, I just steam it for a few minutes. Truly the best broccoli salad ever.

Yeah, we say, "a hair more" here in Georgia. Ever heard of "hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit"? We were blessed with two girls and a foster daughter. We even had female cats and dogs and our white van was Betty White. My husband was outnumbered, but he used to say that phrase just to gross all of us out. It tickled him...stinker. That salad looks amazing and is one I'll definitely have to try. Thanks, again, for your recipes, your teaching and your charming stories....that's for Melissa too.

That dressing is great on any salad. I love it on a coleslaw mix or just lettuce. This is just a great dish. Everyone watching should try this if you haven’t.
  • Love your take on the recipe, I’ll give the raisins a shot. And yes, I wholeheartedly agree that children need to be in the kitchen. My children and grandchildren still love to be in the kitchen when we have get togethers. My favorite memories are with both my grandmothers. The wisdom of these ladies you can’t find in a book… it’s the shared experiences learned. We use the word ‘touch more’ for adding a small amount. Your videos are great and the recipes are delicious! Thank you ❤

When my kids were small, we use to call broccoli “Trees and Stumps” and we used all of the broccoli.
  • I learned to make this from an Amish lady (have family in Sugar Creek Ohio which is huge amish area) We use cauliflower in it too, sunflower seeds instead of pecans and red onion instead of white/yellow onion. i was lazy one day and instead of mixing up the dressing I just added everything to the salad. HUGE mistake. I do not make this often because I cannot leave it alone. I will just eat a little dessert bowl but that turns into anytime I have to open fridge door it just a little bowl until I have eaten half of it over a few hours. Love your videos, i make lots of your recipes. I fix bacon in oven, Learned to peel eggs correctly, have made many recipes. Used the peanut butter balls from the 12 days of Christmas for Easter eggs. thank you so much
  • Hello from Ontario Canada. Just wanted to say that I have tried many of your recipes and have loved every one of them. Your Amish white bread has become a staple in my home, and I had never made bread before. So thank you and please keep the great recipes coming. 😊
