If you want to try out 3dmaker.ai/ I got a 20% off discount code you can use - “UJ” Making some starfield props with it and will update soon!

With that cost and production time, it looks more like another page of that style. In which they disguise themselves as AI generation but in reality they are 3d designers behind the page.
  • @shimmery1210
Man, it is not a ai-generated model, it is a human-generatate model. There was a similar site a few years ago. This site has identical UI as that one, only with longer processing time (2x), much higher price (10x) and seemingly ai-genreated topology (triangulated).

I’m a 3D modeler and trying to catch AI news; this doesn’t feel fully AI. There’s literally 0 paper I can find besides NERF and couple recent ones. Love your content, but I’d say becarefull who you ad for this one. There are 0 transparency on this! Hope they’ll publish something about the process! Edit: I just realised it’s never advertised as AI, it’s the title got me thinking like it.
  • @joescalon541
Reminds me of a previous “ai” modeler that took like 24 hours but was actually just out sourced and a cheap 3D artist made it.
  • @DavesToons
I'm gonna agree with other comments and say this is too similar to Kaedim3D where they have people behind the scenes making the models. Things like it not doing people, realistic animals, or foliage is definitely because the modelers don't have the time/are not experienced enough to make them. On top of that, even though the models aren't perfect, they're also too good for what we know 3D AI can do at the moment. Not even Google's Dreamfusion can make individual shapes for models (it's not publicly available yet but the point still stands. I'd try CSM AI. It's genuine Image to 3D AI and has a free tier. I'm confident in it being real because it takes longer to process and sometimes the results can be outright bad, which leads to credibility lol. I would say the models are pretty impressive for what it is though. I've printed a few myself and they're pretty cool just for the novelty of holding an AI-generated 3D model.

I ordered a few models based on images generated in Midjourney including the $25 and $40 versions. They are of varying quality and show different stylistic takes using the same image for the different qualities. These look like interpretations by different humans and I immediately suspected that this is not AI. Then I checked the billing statement -- the money is paid to Nikko Industries. Looks like Nikko's recent 10 minute modeling challenges were training exercises. Soylent Green is people!
  • Come on man, you gotta vet this stuff better before giving it a shoutout. Theres about a 0% chance this is AI based
  • @bubbasplants189
Maybe lower poly takes longer cause it needs to slow down and accelerate more for sharp corners. Think printing a square vs circle, a square it has to slow down and start up every corner, a circle it's always accelerating towards the center.
  • @StvnLntz
$30-40 service for people that don’t want to learn 3D modeling.. gives you a file that you still have to edit or rework in 3D modeling software 😂🤷‍♂️
  • @JoeyBonzo
This seems very intriguing and a great early iteration, but I really wonder just how far you can push AI with something that's free like the ChatGPT plugin & Blender.
  • @Yipper64
6:00 i'd definitely rather it not be for 3D printing specifically, maybe a separate AI, but if this is just meant for making a 3D model, its pretty good for that. The typology looks amazing, the models look like they would be good to just throw into unity or whatever and use them.
  • @GroundPlayz
Hey, I see you're using either a Neptune 4 or Neptune 4 Pro. Do you happen to have to hand the settings you used for slicing your models here available for the public? I'm personally struggling to get settings that produce consistent prints (using the original files that came with the printer are perfect but my own are not). Of course, the lack of support currently available and the current enforcement to use the old Elegoo Cura software isn't helpful. Would appreciate any help you have! :) Awesome video.
  • Hi thanks for the video and you’re time testing the service, one question what computer and software are you using for the 3D files program ? Thanks
  • @CultivatedLaser
No way Im paying $25 for a brand new service that doesn't even give you preview of the file before you pay. This whole thing reeks of a paid ad.
  • @SkyNetgr
As many others have said, I too believe there is human involvement behind the "AI 3d model generation". What makes it more clear to me is the fact that you have to pay BEFORE you see the result. Their pricing seems too high for a gamble of getting a good, quality result. I would consider this if I could see the result before I could pay/download it but first paying and hoping you'll get what you want puts me in a casino mood that I do not want to be in :)
  • @TryptychUK
How did you get the front/back/side angle composite in Midjourney?
  • @jaya6291
It cost too much. At a lower price more people would use it.
  • @FranklyPeetoons
Genuinely fascinating - and intriguingly peculiar. It seems as if there's some human intervention somewhere along the way in this process. The price seems relatively "high" at first - but it may involve a distantly-outsourced human subcontractor somewhere, slaving away in a mud hut, chained to a desk.
