This is an interesting episode. Unlike other episodes, they're willing and able to take their dog out on walks, even getting her a muzzle and harness to keep everyone safe. They're just in over their heads because of the dog's issues.

Last few episodes I watched had couples that were so combative. This is such a relief to see a couple so cooperative and truly want what is best for the dogs.

Unrelated to this episode but just a couple days ago a neighborhood dog was showing aggression towards me, and one of Victoria's technique's saved my butt. Crossed my arms, turned my back, and walked away slowly. Dog almost immediately lost interested and walked away. I realize this technique wasn't specifically stated to be used for aggression, but it worked.

I like how she sits and offers her paw

I must say I prefer the British version over the American eps.

Kudos to this family for sticking with Hays for two years.

I have a dog like this. My dog is a lot more secure, but she has a similar pattern. I agree with Victoria, but also see something else. This dog is on high alert when she feels unsafe - which is always. There are stimulants EVERYWHERE and she can't do anything while on leash. Her bark is nothing more than a warning to other dogs to stay away - perhaps sometimes coupled with frustration for not being able to meet them and see what's up. The anxiety from the owners spurs her on and makes everything TEN times worse. Without her previous pack, she is unprotected and responsible for the whole. They need to keep their energy as low as possible and show her that they are reliable and stable. That's not easy, but it makes tons of difference. Low energy, whether through wearing her out or keeping her as calm as possible is key to better behaviour.
