Some of the nicest frozen burgers ive had are from Asda. "Extra Special 4 Aberdeen Angus Beef Quarter Pounders" . Worth giving them a try
  • @ukar69
The raw burger on the packaging looks gourmet. The actual raw burger looks like cat food!
  • @ianrobert6239
As you say Gaeth, the packaging is more impressive than the actual small burgers.👍
  • @popeyedish
Packaging looks like an expensive chocolate bar...🤔

5% Japanese Wagyu steak trimmings. The bits that no one wants! Cheers Gareth. 👍
  • Gareth looks like you overcooked these. Wagyu due to the extremely high fat content is intended to be only heated through and served a little on the rare side to avoid the "shrinkage" and excessive fat rendering. Still love your videos!
  • I think you have overcooked them and rendered the fat out, which is why they have shrunk so much. I'd go for a very quick fry / grill. Would be good on the BBQ.

I think they broke up because you flattened them out. Had you left them and cooked slowly they would have been ok, with a little shrinkage, of course. Shrinkage is all around, everything is getting g smaller.
  • I'll carry on making my own Gaz, the quality of shop bought burgers has really gone downhill lately.
  • "All fur coat and no knickers" describes them well...........😂😂

I had them and found them to be far too expensive. They were yummy and I agree with you that normal Birds eye burgers have the same or similar taste for me. They are a treat but a once in a life time treat. I can't see me paying that much money again for any burgers. As for all the fat don't waste it. Add onions and bacon and add to the burger. Another great video.
  • For a start, the price. I buy Aldi Oakhurst brand frozen beefburgers with onion for £1.89. For that price you get 6 tasty burgers. But it was only near the end of the video that I realised that there is only 5% Japanese wagyu beef in the Iceland burgers. They are overpriced.

I tell you what Gareth. Last week I went to the butchers and bought beef shin which is one of the cheaper cuts. Got a kilogram for £10. Sealed it in the pan and cooked it in the oven at 190c for 30 minutes and it was brilliant. Compared to those burgers, probably 10x better and a lot cheaper
  • Thanks Gareth, I think its all being said from the luminous green glow on opening the box. To your demonstration of The Wagon Wheel Syndrome (Old v New) done in 10 minutes! 🤣 Follow on video how to make your own bio-diesel from Wagyu Beef fat! Soz!
  • That's a really useful review as I WOULD have bought them based on the packaging and 'wagyu' meat. Thank you Gareth 🙂 🙂

Scissors are referred to as a pair as you quite rightly said, because of the two cutting edges. No too sure on these burgers. Keep up the good work, have a spot on easter

All these food companies are having our pants down with there inflated prices, poor products, also I've noticed on a lot of product that they've lowered the grams by 5-10% without saying a thing, if they increased it by 10% they would make a song and dance about it on the packaging.
  • @vampdiva6878
You literally just saved me!!! Saw these and was going to try them!! Ended up buying 2 Rustlers deluxe bacon cheeseburgers instead 😂
  • I think you have to cook Wagyu more delicately. With such a high percentage of fat, you're going to get a lot of shrinkage if it's allowed to render down. The fat content is the whole point of Wagyu, so cooking it off defeats the purpose.
  • They cook in their own fat and that renders down.. hence the weight loss..maybe I should render myself down 🤣
