Isn't it the dealer's responsibility to form the main and side pots before dealing the rest of the hand?
-
How is no one talking about the dealer doing a bad job here?
-
A huge event like the WSOP and they can't refer to camera footage or anything concrete to figure it out? That is a huge fail on The Horseshoe's part and shows how cheap their parent company Caesar's Entertainment really is in putting money into customer satisfaction and only is there to rake their profits from their marks.
-
Why didnt the dealer break chips down to verify the amounts? It's deep in a huge tournament and Day 2, if I'm not mistaken. Come on WSOP.
-
He should get black listed for his bull 💩 stunt for that. He knew exactly what he was doing
-
No room for cheaters at the table, get this guy out of the wsop
-
Is name is Men The Snake Nguyen. And the floor obviously lied about reviewing the footage. They clearly can not see on camera what happens. The ruling of the braindead incompetent floor is mind-boggling.
-
Totally on the dealer and player. Dealer should have put both pots together and had them separated. The player should have asked for that as well. You don’t deal the cards then figure it out after. This should have never happened in an WSOP event. Then even after all that, verbal and action should have resulted in officials getting the counts correct.
-
Nothing new for this guy. I hung with some of the top players when Men came on the scene, and they were all skeptical of his honesty.
-
The guy got screwed. There has to be a boss (dealer) at the table, and the eye in the sky should catch it all.
-
Surely the dealer is meant to deal with the pot, once the rivers dealt, Players should keep there hands off any chips past the line. until authorised
-
Maybe don't celebrate and keep focused at the table???? Men ripped him off. Simple
-
a) dealer should have had chips in the 2 pots. b) player who won should have stayed at table and not celebrated. c) WSOP should checked video or if they knew chip values checked stacks. Could have counted men’s stack. d) be wary of men at your table.
-
Whats the mystery here wsop? Do your job. Its negligence pure and simple. The dealer didn't award the proper amount. Floor should have figured it out. If they cant then , thats what the cameras are for.
-
A dishonest poker player? C'mon you have to be kidding. lol
-
This actually looks worse for the whole wsop than it does men. This is enough to make me not ever want to play a wsop tournament
-
players should not be involved in chip counting after a pots won and another player reaching into help count others chips should never happen but does
-
There are only so many competent dealers out there willing to do the job. The bigger the even, the less competent the average dealer will be and the more other avenues are needed to make up for that and assure the integrity of the game. I'm not saying anything personally about this dealer, and clearly everyone is human, but this is just simple logic. I could easily see a team of quick-moving chip handlers that come around and sort out the pot whenever there is a side pot or all-in situation just to take some mental load off the main dealer.

The video of Men Nguyen taking back some chips is silly it's no proof of anything. If player A was allin for 4.5m and player B reshoved 10m, called by Men, then he had a side pot of 11m with player B. As both held AK, they shared that pot, so it's just normal to take back these chips on that case. As for the main pot, we are left with nothing confirmed, the real stack sizes before and just after the hand, if there had been action until the redraw, if the dealer had separated both pots properly, etc. It's just impossible to tell anything.

What’s crazy is there been accusations of him cheating like this for decades. Before “moneymaker “ boom even back to when camera weren’t all over. Been accusations all the time over last 10 years yet nothing happens. Yes he’s an old school poker celb and respected by casinos staff but how long and many times will he be allowed to cheat with no repercussions. One of my poker buddies in home circle even had a run in at Bellagio 5/6 years ago. Accused him of pulling chips off the table before calling an all in. Even before the floor came He had nerve to ask my friend to go outside of course he’ll oblige. Then he said no we wait on floor and they clearly saw it and made him put back 2 1k chips but it was more like 6 chips he took off. Started making a scene saying check his pockets knowing they can’t an won’t.
