Published 2022-11-19
Hardtail or Full-Suspension that's the question right? With hardtails becoming more & more capable, some riders are opting for more simplistic options, whilst others are just simply full-sus fanatics! Blake Samson, and well, Blake Samson are out in La Fenasosa Bike Park to put these two bikes through a series of tests to find out which one is best!

  • Blake's multi-Blake vids are just awesome, regardless of actual point of them. But this time I can't admire enough work of whoever was editing that stuff - top marks for all of you, in front of and behind the camera!
  • @RandomeHandle
This man is a star ⭐The Blake Twins should get a movie of their own 😂
  • @thingswelike
Impressed by the amount of planning that must have gone into this! Great job!
  • @DampActionRC
The sketchy downhill on a hardtail is what I love the most about mountain biking. Ear to ear smiles
  • @KabirDhupelia
This is such an incredibly made video. Well done to Blake, Blake, Spanish Blake and the editors!
  • I went back from full sus to hardtail and I enjoy it a lot. Sometimes it’s not the question which bike is more comfortable but which bike is more fun. On most trails around my area you just go down as fast as you can on a full sus while it’s more challenging on a hardtail and therefore more fun.
  • @myrants5836
You learn how to ride a mountain bike properly on a hardtail. You will be a faster rider on a full suspension if you start off on a hardtail. Also hardtails are so much fun. Even better when you take one to a downhill track and keep up or over take the big rigs!!
  • @joostdeen9614
The never ending story hardtail vs fully. Absolutely one of the most funny vids 😂 I think Spanish Blake needs more vid time 👀🤣
  • I ride both. I have a very nice full sus and hard tail. Both are set up for trail riding. I ride both of them every week. I love both and I love the differences. The hardtail makes me feel very connected to the trail and allows me to work that part of my riding. Full sus is for the rougher trails. I love how well a modern full sus climbs the technical stuff. I love challenging climbs and I do them on both bikes, but a modern full sus climbs amazing. Also having two bikes for me is essential. I ride a lot and want to always have a back up bike. Also the hardtail is a great workout bike.

Watching Blake arguing with Blake about which is which is just fun! Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines! #RideOn #KeepBiking

Can we see a behind the scenes of filming one of these? I’d love to see you talking and acting to yourself!
  • @abuckcat
I have both I can lock out suspension on my full sus and rides much like a hardtail for going up climbs
  • I was a hardtail guy.... Untill i got back issues. Now i have a fully. Loving it 😁. Still love hardtail's
  • @tonymcdow7206
Great vid! First bike I would go with a good hardtail bike. Later, when you are good at finding lines and you are starting to ride bike parks and rock gardens, then get a second bike with full suspension. If you ride all the time, your body will appreciate the full suspension. Then you will have two bikes, which is important because you always want a spare bike so that you never miss a day of riding.
  • @elnuttero
Awesome video. Full suspension is probably the way to go these days but expense, weight and my age of 50 now really makes me question this. This video really sums it up nicely and is very well done. I'm not 20 30 or even 40 anymore and unfortunately should not be going balls out anymore.
  • I have both 160 travel carbon fibre fs and a 140 slack steel hardtail. Love them both. Legs get tired quicker on ht as they are working as suspension. Also, less maintenance with the hardtail! 🤙
  • @kbd13-n9c
I’ve ridden a HT most of my life but I’ll be going full suspension on the next one. Back isn’t always happy on the HT and I’d prefer not to have back surgery earlier I’m life.
  • @MTB_OC
I have both full sus and hardtail, love them both and use them on different occasions and having the peace of mind of having a back up in any case necessary is nice to me! You legit can’t go wrong with either.
  • @nathangaffran
I’ve only rode full suspensions and I’m in the middle of building up my first hardtail. Super excited to finally have a hardtail.
