I think you should just never give up because you never know. Central cee was rapping for like 5 years without any recognition. Every song can be the one that changes your life.

Guys never give up I been doing music for at least 2 - 3 years and I’m starting to get noticed but what I learned is you won’t get found right away it takes time and patience. Just like he said watch tutorials and surround yourself with communities it does work and also talk to people and collab wit some ppl not a lot but wit ppl that match your style and music. Good luck everyone, I know and believe you will make it. DONT GIVE UP!

The ticket really is to keep at it. I’ve been doing this shit for 3 years now and I’ve accumulated a fair bit, but I’m still out here watching these same kind of videos as when I started, trying to maximize my knowledge and stay motivated.

I started November 2020 and I agree 1000% with everything you're saying. Spent 2 years messing around and building a catalogue, learning this at home with the boys. The more passion you have in it the more fun it is :).

If any of yall use a QR Code on a sticker/flyer/etc., I HIGHLY recommend also having your social media listed next to the code. I've done in person marketing with stickers that had a QR that linked to all my social media's but people are uncomfortable (in some instances/settings) with scanning a QR Code because of the different QR Code scams that are out there. So I definitely recommend adding text with your socials by the QR Code, just in case they rather take a picture/type in the info manually.

It’s you being real down to earth and authentic for me. Loved this vid.

I’m gonna come out with my first album in April, I’m getting my mic and writing my music. I’m learning how to get big. I am waiting for the big day where I will walk on a stage with a crowd in-front of me, screaming my name. The thought of that is what keeps me motivated.

So glad you did this video! All of the things you said (except ads lol ) are what I did to get my band where we are now. Being active in your community is the single most important thing you can do for promotion. One of the things I recently started doing was do polls on various things involving future projects; not only resulted in a metric fuckton of presaves , it also resulted in actual sales and a donation of gear to fund the next project. We may not have huge ton of followers (1536 last time as of this morning) but we get a few every day, and I spend a good amount of talking to them in DMs. Two years ago the only DMs I got were people trying to scam us with fake streams and bots; now it’s people saying how much they liked so and so song and to keep it up. That’s progress . I’ve learned a lot from you dude 😎

so 2 things 1, if you are a new new artist, just started back up doing music. 0 fanbase etc, would you just jump straight onto tik tok or use all social platforms ? 2. how do you figure out what type of content to make to be consistent on a everyday bases ?
