I just my Gretsch G2420 village amber from Sweetwater. Great experience! Ordered it on Thursday and got it on Friday and I'm 100 miles away. Came in perfect shape. I checked every knob, switch, pickups, binding, etc and it was perfect. Had to watch this video and hear how it sounds from someone way better than I. Great video Sir. Take care.

Very nice natural finish Gretsch!! Thanks for sharing and honestly it's not a bother!! πŸ˜‰
  • Cool Guitar, we are in the golden age of guitars, it is amazing what we can get at very low prices these days :D

Just ordered this. I now use a j45 as a singer songwriter/country artist when I'm doing solo gigs. I also have a tele and a gretsch new yorker for playing in my trio band, but I think this one is gonna be perfect for that trio. Good review, thanks and happy new year 😊
  • that neck pickup position sounds awesome! was the "chord progression" my funny valentine? sounded like it...I love that song. Great guitar, cool video! πŸ°πŸ‘

Love that guitar thank you for sharing hip hip!!!
  • Played 1 in our local guitar shop last week, ordered 1 over the weekend gets delivered tomorrow, great looking and sounding guitar 🎸🎸🎸

I’ve noticed a morning glory really lights those pickups up. I have one and love it too. Playing it next to other solid bodies it definitely sounds WAY different. Almost too focused of a frequency range for me. Morning glory really fills in the blanks.

Thinkin real hard on this one. The slightly thinner hollow body is very comfortable and the Broad Trons are Alnico V's. Really nice. I'd like to hear the neck PUP with the tone rolled all the way off. Thinkin' hard about getting this one.

I love mine! I have one just like it.

I changed my pickups to SD Phat cats and upgraded all the pots and switch. I didn't need to swap pickups as much as it needed new pots and switch. And as much trouble as it is to do on a hollow body I only wanted to do it once and I think p 90s belong on hollow bodies and the phat cats are really good.

Hi thanks for the video you have a great tone. I just purchased the exact same guitar today to play a little Malcolm Young rhythm guitar.
  • @Chicken-Emperor
Enjoyed the video. I'm looking to buy my first electric after having played acoustic for a couple years now. I play mostly country, bluegrass and blues, so this guitar seems right up my alley and the price is too good to pass up. I think your video may have sealed the deal for me.

Nice. I Love the Clean Tones. I'm not into the distortion thing anymore. Especially since not playing Live these days. This is more my style. I don't have a Gretsch. But do have 4 other Guitars in the same Jazz Box Size & Style. Nice Video My friend.
  • It's anything you want, Gretsch have A sound that I think played with Reverb sounds as close to a Strat as Is poss
