  • The moment Stevie turns to Lindsey and screams “never get away” over and over gives me chills every time!
  • Lindsey is a champ to just stand there and let her get her anger and hurt out at his expense. He doesn't look away. He looks straight at her, even leans in and allows her to process her obviously intense feelings. And he does this as thousands of people watch, understanding the situation. That's respect.
  • @Augirl78
The sound of her voice haunting him meant he would hear her on the radio and never get away. Eccentric genius of Stevie Nicks. Greatest song to never make an album
  • @midkingsteve
When she stared at him while singing at the end... his great grandkids are gonna feel that. Everyone felt that.
  • @LOKISlog7
Lindsey pulling out all her emotions, daring her to give him hell, with his eyes and facial expressions. Only someone that you loved dearly could pull that out of you so many years later. Buckingham is so underrated as a guitarist- no pick, and that smooth sound and tone.
  • @drewg5637
I always liked this version better then the studio version.
  • The - You'll never get away - never get away - never get away - at the end - was person to person - she meant it.
  • Everything on the Rumours album is written from one member to another, back and forth. Both couples in the band were splitting up as they were creating this album.
  • Stevie Nicks is in a category all by herself! An absolute legend
  • You don't know Fleetwood Mac until you've listened to the Rumours album front to back. Every song is a classic.
  • @jons.105
Stevie and Lindsey actually got into a huge fight over this song in 1977 when they recorded it for the album "Rumours". Lindsey and Mick decided it was too long for the Lp and couldn't be used (they later stuck it on the B-side of the "Go Your Own Way" single) and Stevie was furious.
  • It's like heartbreaking when you see Stevie sings right to Lindsey throughout the whole song. Sad song, but beautifully sung.
  • @timshuey917
You can tell she is singing from her soul when she sings to Lindsey. So many great songs from Stevie come from those dark places, Brad hit the nail on the head when he mentioned the substance abuse that comes from living your life in the camera eye as Neil Peart of RUSH explained.
  • @silgen
It's great to see how much Lex loves Fleetwood Mac. When they first started in the 60's they were a British blues rock band and were known as Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, as Green was the most famous member. They were hugely popular in Europe, it's said that in 1969 they sold more singles than the Beatles and Rolling Stones put together. Give them a try sometime., songs like Man of the World, Oh Well, Need Your Love So Bad, Albatross, Black Magic Woman are timeless brilliance.
  • @neillenet291
And you have to keep in mind most of the breakup songs that Stevie Nicks is singing, she is singing about the guitar player who's standing on stage with her. By the point of this performance they had been broken up for probably 20 years or so.
  • This concert is the best live set they have done. They had mostly moved on from turmoil and resentment and were focused just on the music. Although Stevie was still a bit envious about Lindsay's happiness, now that he was married and was a father by that time. Throughout this entire performance she is shooting him daggers, but stares her right down not even flinching. As if too say, I've moved on and I am in better place now.
  • @steved6666
Lex, go back to the songs "Go your own way" and "The Chain". Listen closely to the words of each and you'll understand better. Lindsay and Stevie were a struggling musical couple when Fleetwood Mac reformed in the 70s. Lindsey auditioned for and was accepted by the band but would not join them without Stevie. That's how they got there. Shortly after Lindsey and Stevie broke up, but both stayed with the band fighting through their lyrics throughout the years. Silver Springs is just another in the line.
