The Dating Game, the Mating Game in the World of Bull Moose
The moose rut unfolds in stages. It begins with the shedding of the velvet, and progresses into the sparring, the rut pits, the fighting, and ultimately the mating.

Today’s video focuses on that last stage. The dance is fascinating, and the patience the bulls show for weeks leading up to the final stage is incredible.

Today we present FT23 at his party. He earned it, he beat every challenger, he didn’t bully the women on his rise to dominance, he’s simply a majestic bull in every way.

Come along with us today and let Libby’s narration tell the story. Thanks for joining us!

Thanks for watching our channel, we are the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey, (Libby squared), New Hampshire wildlife photographers (and part time Alaska.) It is our passion to document wildlife of any kind, but moose are definitely at the top. In New Hampshire we spend a lot of our spring/summer hours in kayaks photographing loons and moose in the waters of New Hampshire. And hike many miles in Alaska seeking all manner of wildlife in the fall.

You can see his rapid breath rate at 3:45 by looking at his flank, and that was the money shot around 4:15. Nice! Congrats on capturing such great footage last year.
  • I hope there are baby FT23'S this year. His antlers are huge when he held his head up. We'll, this year he is more experienced. What a sweet boy❤❤🫎🫎☕️☕️

Mating-dating👍😂 My fav about moose relationships (sorry, I can’t stop laughing): 👇🔞🌶️🌶️🌶️‼️‼️‼️🤭 In the forest lived a Moose named Big Balls. When meeting someone, he would proudly introduce himself like this: “I am Big Balls Moose.” And then one day the Moose was running through the forest, gaped and caught his balls on a branch. The balls could not withstand the load and... whack💥! whack💥!.. come off. Both🥚🥚! A saddened Moose wanders through the forest, and a Cow named Big Udder parades towards him. The Cow decided to pick up the Moose and said to him: “Let’s get acquainted. I am the Big Udder Cow. And who are you?". The Moose, having forgotten for a moment about his grief, perked up, and then at once sank and plaintively, quietly mumbled: “And I am The Moose… Just a moose...”🤣🤣🤣
