I don't do food deliver anymore. The price has gotten so outrageous it's just not feasible any longer.

I’m a doordash driver and i can tell you that this doesn’t help at all. I tried to dash for 2 hours the other day and didn’t a single order request. The high prices have basically driven all customers away so what was supposed to be a living wage is now no wage.

Get your lazy up and do it yourself like the old days

Good thing I switched to takeout year ago. Pro tip: take out is cheaper on the restaurant website than food delivery apps.
-
Nah. I will just make my own food from home.
-
Yeah, I'm in Covington and there is a $24.99 rate to have my food delivered. Decided to go pick it up myself. No longer will be using those apps.

Seattle is not a place to live anymore is getting so unsafe & so expensive
-
Everyone needs to just delete the apps

What amazes me is how the government intervenes on how a business pays or runs operations that are not life threating. This governments over stepping their boundary and quietly destroying this countries very foundation of free enterprise.

Seattle leaders are more like children playing with their own poop.

Politicians tend to make political decisions, which are often terrible business decisions. If they had to start a business based on their political agendas, they'd be bankrupt before the doors opened.

Everything going up including the prices of delivery services. Inflation is real people! Don’t believe everything you hear on the news that the economy is doing well! Things are only going to get worse and not better. Remember the people you elect is what you get period. Don’t complain about it, vote wisely!!

What's crazy is that most of that isn't going to the driver's!!!!
-
Well, that's the end of the app then in Seattle.

Tried ordering a McDonald’s breakfast n it was 40 bucks lol 😂 what a joke
-
If the top of the funnel is getting squeezed, the livable wage for the driver is going to be squeezed. This feels like an oversimplified solution. There has to be a better way.
-
With taxes, service fees, and the extra $5 fee, the total cost of a delivery order can increase by 40% of the food cost, and that is already with the food being more pricey than the restaurant. Insanity.
-
It never goes well when government interferes with free market economics.
-
I'm not sure how 12 to 32 equates to a minimum wage adjustment. Sounds like the app companies were raking in billions while drivers were left in the cold??

Delivery is a service, but there are limits to how much people are willing to pay for the convince. My advice is to fill you freezer with tax-free frozen entrees from the grocery store and fall in love again with your microwave oven.
