  • Her going missing from the vault, and Immortan Joe not questioning it even when they’re in the same room, bugged me
  • @Joe-nh8eq
first plot hole, was just Dementous trying to coax the directions out of her. Its not a plot hole, he was just lying and trying to pretend he was nice.

Just my opinion: 1) I guess Dementis told this to young Furiosa, to make her believe, her silence won't change anything. 2) As you can see the tree beneath her wig growing, it might be some years gone, while Immortan Joe actually did search for her. And after her good services, he might accepted her as a praetorian. 3) She just doesn't want to go home, without the wifes of Immortan Joe, that's the main plot of Fury Road, if I'm not mistaken (: It might not be perfect in every way, but I wouldn't call it big plot holes. As I said: Just my opinion.

I'm really happy you brought up the fact that Immortan Joe or his son's didn't seem to give a shit about Furiosa's disappearance. It's been driving me up a wall trying to figure out a way for it to make sense. Her escaping and posing as a boy is fine. But there didn't even seem to be a search for her. Also, if she was gonna keep posing as a boy, why did she grow her hair back? It's nitpicky, but I don't know why they'd have a scene of her shaving her head as a kid to pose as a boy... Only to have her grow it all back when she's still posing as a boy... And then have her shave it again later. Just... Have a shaved head the whole movie. The fact that she wasn't searched for, that Immortan Joe didn't care or question why she existed and was on their side when she was standing right in front of him, or where she came from. They didn't even explain it away with like... a throwaway line. Like give me one line of dialogue that'll make be go "oh, ok fine I guess that's why they never questioned it." Nah we get nothing. I enjoyed this movie, but I had to suspend my disbelief for a lot of shit.

Fun fact: When I was in college, I worked in a little convenience store that was on the bottom floor of an all-female dormitory. Our nickname for that dormitory was the Virgin Vault.
  • Point 2: The truck driver saw the hat/hood come off. By the time he sees it was a disguise they have saved each other’s lives probably twice and probably 4 times before the scene is over and they talk outside the war rig. Trust is built on that, they are both alive because of the other and willing to test further trust because of this.
  • I don't understand where Dementus could gather so much food and water to keep his 1000 man gang alive

100% her going missing from the vault is just bright and center for me too. How was that not even remotely addressed? And then the make her the new War Rig driver, an elevated position, and never mention anything about how she used to be a future wife? Joe just accepted it and moved on without zero questions?

I just want to point out that the theme of all Mad Max movies is how do we act when the world is falling apart around us. All the time devoted to young Furiosa is necessary, in my opinion. With that upbringing, Furiosa could become much like Dementus. But she furiously resists evil (Dementus), and then she does positive good (rescues Immortan Joe's wives). To me, both FURIOSA and FURY ROAD are masterpieces. Although he is a loner, Mad Max also resists evil and does positive good.

Dementus would track using his dogs, and if a sandstorm occurred and disrupting the plans, well...bad luck I believe that she didn't get back home because she want to revenge the death of his Mom and Petrorian, and latter she found out that she needed to help the wives to. Maybe this took more time that she expected, and time passed

What does Curiosa's mother go after her alone, leaving the other woman behind? She says that the other woman is needed back home, but also she is on horseback, chasing motorcycles. Two women will make the horse tire more quickly. Motorcycles won't get tired, and so Furiosa's mother gets a motorcycle as quickly as she can.

Dementia was just bluffing about the tracks to make Furiosa speak. A bigger plot hole is that Furiosa was so valuable because she could tell where abundance is, but Dementus literally killed her mother, who also knew about the abundance 🤷🏻‍♂️
  • Point one: he was talking to a kid. He knew he couldn’t follow the tracks but he was trying to trick her. You can show us the way home because we will just go there anyway.

3:00 , the hair. The hair that went off the side of the cliff and grew a tree. Where the little kid go? Down.
  • Tracks - doesn't necessarily mean tire tracks or foot tracks, it can go as far as geographical tracks or memory tracks, Furiosa is taught to follow the stars (as she tattooed it on her arm). Furiosa missing - with you, but hilarious. Remember a lot of characters in the wastelands are imbed and has lower cognitive skills, naming Scrotus and Rectus. The Warboys are diseased and willing to die any minute for Vahala. Fury Road - Furiosa took everyone out of the vault, Joe's got none left. Again, with you on Joe not being able to pick anything up about Furiosa as she grew, but funny because they are not to their full mental capacity. Pretorian Jack - Mad Max is a world of bye gones, if you've been a contractor, you may relate being on the road, moving onto the next gig, while doing whatever is in your best interest or having empathy. Joe didn't mean anything to Jack. Mad Max is seriously an action film version of the comedy film - Idiocracy, and it's kind of awesome.

4:35 We don't know much about Imperator Jack, or any Imperator at all for that matter. I think Jack is just another roadwarrior there at the Citadel working for supplies and gasoline... Maybe he is a great driver but also lending his skills to help build a better war rig to secure the roads and movement between his fortresses? What makes this imperator title or war boy (?) class or rank different? For instance, we see the dark grease covered foreheads on a few characters and we don't know much about them. Imperator Jack states he lost his crew. Rebuilding his crew, well, Furiosa for starters. Maybe no one knows about Furiosa or even the name of the little scrawny person working in disguise and coming back in to the Citadel is simply accepted as one of Jack's new crew?

Is the Green Place hard to find? We see an aerial shot, and much of the Green Place is a valley sheltered and hidden by high cliffs. It does have at least one entrance/exit. In FURY ROAD, the Green Place has turned into a swamp, and we don't ever see the high cliffs, but it's nighttime.

I was heavily disappointed with the film, my own personal opinion. All throughout the film i was bowing my head at the many flaws & inconsistent themes of it. Look i dont hate the film, it had some great scenes but from the writing to the bad cgi even to the bad paising issues it had. I came away from it thinking there's so much you can tell they left out of the film or eventually wasn't filmed. Because from what i saw there were definitely more lore containing Dementes planned, more stuff involving the green place. You just can really tell theres a lot on the cutting room floor they left. Its frustrating because i love this universe & just came out of it thinking it could've been way better.

This video is straight facts, especially the girl just joining the max guy as his right hand girl and no one questioning who tf is this girl and where did she come from 🤣🤣
