McLaren and Lando Norris lose the race making the wrong call | Silverstone 2024

They did the same thing in Moscow 2021. The driver is under a lot of stress...they shouldnt have to be make the decision all the time.

First of all the team is letting a driver make calls,, he’s only got the view of what’s happening directly in front of him through his visor ,, he doesn’t have the view of the entire race and all the little things going on .. Even Red Bull tell Max ok this is what we are doing and he usually trusts them to make the right decisions…Lando had a set of brand new mediums which Mercedes didn’t have and either did Red Bull .. absolute joke,, their Is a reason McLaren have only won 2 races in the 11 years since Lewis left..

You know what's even crazier ? It was 14 laps to go still and lewis had used softs. Mclaren could've pit Lando on Mediums and warm up his tires for a few laps before pushing.

The learning experience is always tough, but Norris will reach there eventually. Future world champion, just needs sharper execution from team and himself. VERS and HAM are clearly next level drivers for sure.

Lando lost the race when the team leave to him to make the decision betweem soft and mediums and lost the double podium when the lost some laps to pit Piastri

Could've had a 1-2 today and they blew it by not double stacking on first stop which screwed Piastri over and putting the burden of deciding the tire compound on Lando for the 2nd stop.

They ask Lando... great strategy..

Wrong!!!! Engineer needs to make the call. Lando out there on the edge and asking Lando to decide?!?!? Really? Who’s in charge of the McL team?

I just realised he said ‘I don’t mind’ so it was really the teams call to go soft, which is odd

Boxed late, knew mediums were the better choice and still went softs

Time to change orange into red. Norris looks lost and can't stop crying and zak is still yapping about everybody else. norris is not ice-cold as max who simply does his thing again with a shyt car
