  • You makes better shade range than beauty blender and morphe tbh
  • @Marvin_Alain
My biggest problem is when I run out of a mixture and having to recreate the exact same color because I need more.
  • this has been the most helpful video ive seen on mixing skin tones. im a self taught artist with just the internet as a guide and this definitely provided as an excellent resource. thank you xx

This helped so much. I'm in 10th grade and I've never painted a portrait but my art teacher expects me to. I didnt know how I should paint it or how to get skin tones. So this helped alot, thank youπŸ’ž

First, thank you for creating the "How to blend" video, extra kudos for the added bonus of "skin tones mixing". Is hard for me to express my gratitude, because in these days of "big tech", simplicity seems like an extinguishing act. I also realize that your technique is not the only one available, but is a hell of a start. Thank You again... PS: Just so you know, artists are charging big bucks for this kind of info on Patreon.

I have been watching hours and hours of acrylic portrait painting videos to do my first portrait . Yours are the best by far. I now feel motivated to actually start my painting. Thank you so much.

Actually, there are lighter skin tones with blue undertones. Some Italians and middle eastern. I've watched portrait painting videos of subjects from those places and the artist used blue undertones and their skin was much lighter than what you have on your last card.
  • Thank you so much. Im trying to stay away from euro-centric art and you're the first vid I found that mixes darker skin tones. Such a life saver, and you definitely gained yourself a new subscriber

This is one of the best tutorials I've seen for mixing skin tones with acrylic. Thank you for showing the sweet organized value changes with enjoyable commentary. 😊

You broke it down so simply, thank you so much, I needed this to really help blend a portrait I was working on. Thank you!
  • Such a useful, simple palette for skin tones. This is a great introduction to acrylic portrait painting for sure, and I love that you test painting skin tones directly on an image to color match.
  • This video helped me improve my skin tones when I felt like giving up. It is awesome. Thank you so much

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I'm currently attempting a portrait of Frida Kahlo and this tutorial on how to mix skin tone shades helped a lot. And your other tutorial where you painted the face of a beautiful brown-skinned girl also helped me to paint Frida's nose.
  • @BriLPS
This was very very very helpful and since I'm new when it comes to painting portraits this works so nicely for beginners. I have been doing art for a couple years now but this was so far the best tutorial I have found ever!πŸ’―
  • I just want to say thank you so much! I'm painting a portrait for a coworker/friend of mine who is going back home to Jamaica. I started using straight brown with white to make it lighter. the second i got it on the canvas i knew something was wrong. I went looking for vids to help me with skin tones and came across this one. In this short 10 min video I learned so much about mixing skin tones and thanks to u my gift came out so much better. Cant wait to give it to her now! Thank you again.
