Grace VanderWaal performed on the Elkhorn Stage at the Railbird Festival in Lexington KY. She was a ball of energy and fun, holding her audience in the palm of her hand.

Apart from her new music and a few older favorites she performed two covers we haven’t heard before, plus Billy Joel’s Vienna that she first sang on Wednesday this week at the introduction of “Waste my Time”. And she even suggested we might not like it when she sings covers. Silly girl! There is no song so good that it can’t be made better by being sung by Grace!

One of these new covers was “Elenore” by the Turtles. Not that obscure to my generation, but apparently very much so to Grace’s.

The fun she’s having performing it is contagious.
Oh, and the style she chose for her performance… Oh là là!

Sorry for the shakes and the sometimes bad framing. I very much tried to enjoy her performance which sometimes interferes with handling of the camera.
So, yeah, I finally got to see Grace live for the first time. But certainly not for the last.

I may have some some improvement on the shakes when I’m home and have all my tools and speedy internet again.

Grace's dance moves are enchanting. She oozes youthfulness and fun.
  • One of the most notable things about an artist, of course, besides the fundamentals of vocal talent and other people, is her posture on stage, form and dynamics of the performance, and she does very well. The band has a very good melody and the music is excellent. Professionalism, dedication and commitment define this work, congratulations and "success always" !!!
  • She is so adorable how she turns every one of her fans into her BFF <3
  • The joy she emits on stage is infectious! I love Grace Vanderwaal! 🥰❤🥰❤🥰

I hope no one resents and hate on Grace if she ever does a mistake. People painting a perfect image of someone in their mind and then expecting them to stay way forever is just terrible. Remember! Humans aren't perfect. I will always love Grace in the GOOD times and the BAD times.

That came out of the blue, a fun and forgotten song from the mid-sixties--it's even older than me, and I'm OLD 😁😁 WTG Grace, still rockin and tick tockin for fans young and old. Love this girl 😊

Thank you. Another great performance from our stage queen, love it.

She does this song so well, like she makes it her own, and I remember the Turtles version very well. I just love her stage presence while she sings especially that little stop wave near the end.
  • I just love this. She really does have that late 60's early 70's sound in some of her tunes. Love you, Grace. (Please keep your voice strong) The doctor.
  • I haven't watched this since shortly after you posted it. OMG what a great performance Grace gave - she was totally amped up and having so much fun! She looked beautiful and sounded great, and it was well worth the cross country trip to witness Grace's 2019 return to the big stage! Great video!

OMG!  Grace covered "Elenore"!  The girl continues to astound and amaze.  The Turtles were a good and fun band.

Grace is just brimming with confidence, great stage presence and audience interaction. Super cover of Eleanor Grace.
  • The fact that she is having fun doing this is great! Other than that...in 1969... This was my favorite song. Go Grace!!

OMG! How is it possible a 15 years old girl select a more than 50 years old piece of music I danced on during my school time end of the Sixties (!!). Grace shows again her variability and distinctive feeling for music independently from its year of publishing. Remember the "Moonriver" Cover more than one year ago. Her live show is a perfect prove for a well seasoned artist. I like to quote Grace herself from AGT audition time: I hope there is more to come.
