Seattle Police are investigating after a family was assaulted on a walk in Seattle’s Wedgwood neighborhood Sunday evening.

Those who live nearby and witnessed the attack are shocked it would happen on their typical quiet street.

“That poor family, their whole Sunday changed for the worst,” said Scott Waterman, who lives near where the attack happened.

Waterman said just minutes prior to the family being assault the suspect came to his front door aggressively yelling. He said he feared for his safety and was thankful his children weren’t home.

“Immediately called 911.” When seconds count the police are just 15 to 20 minuets away. If they show up at all. You are your own ‘first responder.’

the frequency of these “random attacks” are increasing. keep your head on a swivel people and be prepared to protect yourself.

Stay strapped. Protect yourself, your family and your neighbors. This psycho probably won't be arrested and if he is he will be released the next day.

AND THEY WONDER WHY WE DON'T WANT THEM AROUND OR WHY WE CROSS THE STREET TO AVOID THEM !😊

Thank God they weren't prepared to defend themselves! They might have harmed that poor, disadvantaged man.
  • Live in one of those boring old "quiet" neighborhoods? Let them build plenty of "affordable housing units" and watch your neighborhood turn "vibrant" like this one overnight.
  • Sad that we have to profile now. Just stay away from people that look like that.

These people live in a fantasy world. If you’re not carrying, and relying on the police to save you, you’re in for a rude awakening.

I won't go outside to weed without my mace here in Portland. City and county refuses to acknowlege how bad it is.
  • Responsible concealed carry is something for every emotionally stable person to consider. No quarter with these threats.

Shocking! Well not really, knew before we watched the story.

You're not safe anywhere folks. Bad people have cars also. If you live in a "safe" neighborhood i bet within 15 minutes of your house is section 8 housing. 😢
