Instructions for making a high performance canister-style smoke device that dumps white smoke for 3 1/2 minutes. Be advised there are better formulas throughout my channel. Especially TPA formulas.

Here's a final product of my R&D:    • TPA Smoke Device, Blows Commercial Ou...

White smoke is ideal for concealment because it reflects the most visible light.

The video link for the ignition system will be created soon, subscribe for that update.

After testing and further research I came up with a superior ring- pull ignition system, here is that video link:    • DIY High Performance Ring-Pull Igniti...

If you want to see the SHTF version of an ignition system made from readily available materials:    • SHTF Ignition Cups for Pull-Ring Smok...

Composition Ratio:
6 parts Potassium Nitrate
4 parts Powdered Sugar

  • I have to confirm, I purchased the kit from website and received a confirmation same day, and the product a few days later!! Online store is legit! Question- I have a dew small pencil size tube's with other tube's within them... what might that be for, sir?..for primers? There are 10 of them. I bet they ate featured in an updated video that I haven't seen yet

Videos like this is why i used to come to YouTube in the first place.

Try adding a little sulfur to your mix. You're essentially making black powder with sugar instead of charcoal, but the chemistry is the same. Sulfur lowers the ignition point, and increases your burn rate, up to a certain point. You can get sulfur at any store like Lowe's in lawn & garden.
  • Ordered the pull string kit, the man said he would deliver and he did! This kit is legit and pretty awesome. Be safe and responsible.

I really don't want to be the Safety Susan on the block, but I have some personal experience to share that you might want to consider. You often hear rotary tools and gloves don't go together. I learnt that the hard way in EXACTLY the same situation as you put yourself in for this video: using a disc on an angle grinder while holding the object you're grinding in your hand. And just like you, I used heavy duty leather gloves... The edge of the glove barely touched the disc, and it got pulled in, resulting in a deep gash in my finger. Just that fraction of a second was enough to cut the flesh down to the bone. "Luckily" it was the side of my thumb, right next to the fingernail, where no important muscles or tendons pass. And luckily my reflex pulled away in the right direction so that it didn't cut any deeper. There was also barely any blood because the speed burnt all the flesh and vessels shut. You can imagine that it could have very easily been a lot worse. So message to you, or to anyone who turns to YouTube videos to learn DIY practices: whenever working with rotary tools, use thin latex gloves, or no gloves at all. It's better to have a burn or a splinter or a dirty hand, than having only half a hand. Or like one of my best youth buddies always said: better having one bird in your hand, than no hand.
  • Since we're all here for similar reasons. Just wanted to throw out that those paper match books you can get from the gas station can be turned into priming agent for reloading ammo Powderize all the sulfur match heads, and scrape off the red phos from the strip. Mix VERY carefully, and you can make around 50 primers. Not sure if the youtube video is up, but a guy reloaded some 9mm ammo and even used spent primers and loaded them up with the matchbook priming agent. Seemed like he was shooting normal ammo

I subscribed when the vibrator came out. I'm all for finding alternate uses for common household tools!

By far the best smoke grenade I’ve seen on YouTube, thanks!

If your girl friend will not let you use her toy, use a detail sander without sandpaper on it to vibrate the can.

Made a huge one with my son. Lit it off in our back yard of the neighborhood. A massive amount of smoke bellowing up out of the neighborhood. It's a wonder nobody called the FD

This would have been a hoot back when we played unsanctioned paintball games!

Just to let you know, I've heard that superglue applied onto cotton can supposedly cause fire. I've put super glue on cotton before myself and it began to produce smoke. I don't know why it does that, but I've seen enough that it'd make me a little apprehensive when doing it with something like that in my hands. Otherwise, this is a great video and would love to see more of your designs
  • This type of science project would definitely have contributed to keeping me in school 😂😂😂 fun to watch, awesome video thx for sharing 👍
  • @visamedic
I like that’s there’s a gas can within a few feet of where youre testing it. Really cool deal. I’ve messed with smoke grenades for years. Love having a huge area of smoke when you set off those strobe type fireworks. This is by far the coolest video I’ve seen. Gonna have to try and make a few for the 4th. 😁👍

Zahn cup is the word you were looking for, for testing viscosity. Great video.
  • @topfeedcoco
Tech Ingredients is a rad channel, God bless the both of ya.

You can get individual stretchy pouches that conform to different grenade sizes, same as you used to get with universal phone pouches back in the day, can't remember the name for the stretchy part but rubber string is used. Also, if your going to this much effort to make HMSG's for say Airsoft/Paintball, (considering how expensive that can be), you might as well pay someone with a sewing machine to make your pouches for you and / or a pouch bag speciffically for the HMSG's. Alternatively, you could get them to make a HMSG belt like you would have for shotgun carts but instead be big enough for HMSG's and can also add in the feature of having the belt hold removable pouches if you wanted to move them to a Molle vest or just not carry as many and not carry the belt. If you know someone with a sewing machine, all you would really need to pa for is material which they could most likely get cheap for you and then just give em a bit extra money for their time. Edit: Just remember, not all Airsoft/Paintball arenas allow HMSG's or Smoke Grenades in general due to insurance or safety policy or both so always check with the event organiser before going or before taking your SG's on the field. (HMSG = Home Made Smoke Grenades)

Smoke grenades are very underrated in terms of a gunfight to me it is the best way to disappear when you are pinned down under cover when people are shooting at you😊
  • @vohawk
When grinding explosive/volatile/flammable materials, often just keeping it damp with water will prevent ignition. The result can then simply be set out to dry afterward.
