  • I really love this anime and can rewatch it numerous times. This song is such a game changer to mugens character because all times before his main fight he ran into a fight with no cares for his own life. But in this, especially the beginning, it’s like mugen can see the bigger picture. He knows there’s a a good chance he may not live through this final fight, yet on the outside he tells fuu he’s not gonna die. He fights for a new purpose, and this battle has everything on the line and even he knows That.

Samurai Champloo, Nujabes, Shing02 & Fat Jon literally changed my life. That ain't no catchphrase for a t-shirt, it's real.

Everyone always applauds Nujabes for the Samurai Champloo OST, but let's be real and say that it wouldn't have been possible without Fat Jon. Fat Jon's style compliments Nujabes perfectly. They both are just enough alike but just enough different that it makes their collabs super interesting to listen to. They truly set the tone for this show. Fat Jon really deserves more credit. Not to overshadow Force of Nature or Tsuchie, but really the meat of the OST is found in Departure and Impression. They are the main course. Go listen to Fat Jon's solo material and you'll see what I mean. Fantastic artist.

I love that this is played when Mugen is saving Fuu and it's called 'Your Purpose' ... I wonder if it was made that way or if it was a coincidence?

It's a rainy day, got done with studying, got food in me, drinking tea, laying down on my bed, and just cleaned the room. Blasting this song and it feels like there's nothing good and nothing bad in the world. No labels to it all and I'm watching everything go by naturally. What a vibe
  • This makes me sad that there never was a conclusion to Mugen and Fuus relationship. There wasn’t much but when there was something it seemed „big“. I mean he gave up his sword for her. MUGEN of all people.

I've seen the anime dubbed to spanish and to english and the original japanese version too, with and without subtitles all versions, it's always different, but the music remains the same...I love it. Thank you creators for your creations :')

I know I'm late to the party here, but when I watched samurai champloo a year ago, I was sad that some songs seemed just unattainable. so even if this video is 8 years old, thank you.
