I think it's not so much about nostalgia, but more of an uncanny, eerie, somewhat creepy, somewhat pressure, basicly if you feel something that's already feeling it, backroom is not suppose to make you feel happy old days nostalgia, it can give you fear nostalgia or a feeling uneasy something like that

just so you know omega mart 6:47 is not inspired by the backrooms in actuality it was a small project made a while ago and in the project they made a garage sale but with weird looking items most of the people who went to the garage sale thought the items where actually for sale later they got to make a full blown grocery store and that's where omega mart stands today.
