FINALLY a reactor that picked THE song on the album. It immediately became my all time favorite Taylor song. Never thought I’d be able to pick The One. This is it!!!!!’

“I was tame, I was gentle, till the circus life made me mean”. My favorite line, it’s hits the core.
  • @lonbub6832
She fully leaned in on people calling her a witch or a circus side show! Her life is unique. She’s amazing at her job! So she must be pretending to be a good person, right? I hate that for her. She’s in pain and shows her vulnerability in this song. It’s also written solely by her. No Jack. No Aaron. Just Taylor. That’s a diary excerpt! Damn! This is an amazing example of her genius! ✨🦋✨🦋✨
  • @aerialnay
The fact that she wrote this one all by herself makes it way more special

This song gave me literal goosebumps the first time I listened to it. All the rage from the horrible ways she's been treated over the years. Cannot get enough of this song.
  • @bg695
When she came in with that first “who’s afraid” I gasped. What a voice. Unreal. The writing. The production. Everything. A favorite for sure.
  • People will always say that Taylor doesn’t hold her own when writing and recording, but her team will say they don’t contribute much, it’s mostly Taylor.. Those same people will never believe that is amazing singer, songwriter, producer and person. Taylor is brilliant and really is a good person

Leaping from the gallows, a wooden contraption used for hanging, then levitating over the streets paints the story so well. Like a witch being hanged then confronting the town ugh I love it!

This is my FAVORITE. I’ve said for years that Taylor swift terrifies me. She’s so witchy. The way she’s able to tie things together and weave a story over the course of years. She’s not normal. She’s gifted. But people have come for her since day one so she built up her shadow side and started letting karma do her work and it really has. None of her enemies are really relevant anymore. It’s wild. And if you think about the imagery of her astral traveling into the place where her enemies are and effing up the music at their party…..but in real life too…..her music is everywhere so she truly does haunt her enemies and they can’t escape it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • This is a great song…mother is pissed in this one I believe! Great reaction!

Alanis Morisette should be happy to see someone following in her footsteps 🙌🙌🙌
  • @genevieve7663
During the bridge, you can see some of the lyrics staying on the screen and leaving messages, "so tell me not everything is about me? but what if it is " all the words disappear except -It is and "they say they didn't do it to hurt me , but what if they did ?" everything goes away except - they did .. Great reaction! I love that song so much, I feel so ready for battle haha

I've been needing Taylor to dive into the metal/rock genre for a decade and while I doubt it'd ever happen, I'd be happiest camper in the world. Reputation is one of my favorite albums she's done, and this song is 100% the same vibe. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
  • @KimmieArgyshev
You should really watch the video of her performing this song live in Paris. That performance is beyond amazing, it has SO much more power than the record version. I am a grunge and rock person at heart, but that live performance is one of the best I have ever seen🖤
  • My favorite song from the album and maybe from her! I love the line “don’t worry folks we took out all her teeth” makes me think of defanging a venomous snake
  • @dotsdust6665
When I heard this song for the first time, I instantly thought this needs to be in a Broadway musical!!! The musical arrangement and the changes in the intensity of her voice was just GENIUS!
  • @Sacto1654
Because this song is radio-friendly, Swift MUST make a real music video for this song. The slightly shortened version used on the TTPD section of the revised Eras Tour is nothing short of sensational, especially the stronger orchestration on that live version.

Ehhhh this one takes me deep, there was a recent news article that Taylor is a 6th cousin of Emily Dickinson (and turns out so am I probably due to being a direct descendant of Mayflower passengers but I digress) - this one is so much Virginia Woolf (and also that Elizabeth Taylor starred in the movie 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' Plus Elizabeth Taylor has been referenced in other lyrics) - I'm not even an official Swiftie but I am so sucked into the symbolistic poetry references that -- most people miss...also you are adorable 🤠💕
  • She’s calling out a lot of folks in this song, and I’m here for it!! Thanks for a great reaction!!
