I keep seeing the Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd in here. They were both three guitar bands. Glenn Frey played guitar along with Don and Joe. Skynyrd had Rossington, Collins and Gaines.
  • The Cars…. Ric and Elliott were dynamic and together created a sound so recognizable that you knew their music instantly.
  • @WheatonBrad
My list would include Jerry Garcia and Bobby Weir, who wove amazing melodies, and sang and wrote. It's also difficult to forget Johnny Winter And, with Johnny and Rick Derringer, and also Little Feat, with Lowell George and Paul Barrere.
  • @polki23
For me, Adrian Belew and Robert Fripp from the 80s lineup of King Crimson stands out. Discipline is a killer track.
  • @Oldcrow77
I can’t believe David St. Hubbins and Nigel Tufnel weren’t on the list. So many of the big hair bands mentioned, obviously where influenced by them. Not to mention they had amps that went to 11! And I am a Subscriber
  • @branx64siljic37
Wishbone Ash should have been on this list (among the first five), another example of how this band is underrated. I am sure that Rick must love them, he just happened to forget them 🤣
  • Fleetwood Mac, Danny Kirwan and Peter Green. Pioneers of the two lead guitar format.
  • @geonjohn
Hey Rick. As an Irish guy, I’m delighted to see Thin Lizzy finally appear on one of your videos! They were the soundtrack of my youth.
  • @pl3317
Wishbone Ash were a major influence on Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden among many others. For me, they were the originators of the double lead guitar bands. They were also a really good live band and remain very underrated.
  • Nice to see AC/DC getting the respect they deserve ❤🎉
  • @crimval2706
The Strokes with Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr, could’ve been on this list too. Definitely the definitive indie rock band with two guitarists. Both play rhythm and lead on different songs and both with great solos on different songs. Their guitars combined together make up The Strokes sound for sure, and i think its quite iconic!
  • @prof_jesus
That Judas Priest triple sway is such an iconic metal scene...
  • Queensryche with Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton definitely deserve to be mentioned.
  • @drummer471
Yay! I was getting ready to be outraged that you hadn't mentioned A/DC. Thankyou, I totally agree. Also about Mike Campbell, I think the guitar solo on Room at the top is one of the best I've ever heard.
  • @tonystephens6858
Perry and Whitford always complimented each other on vinyl and live. Interesting that Stanley and Frehley of KISS were left off the list.
  • @tbarnes9039
I agree with Rick’s brother. Glenn Tipton and KK Downing played together seamlessly.
  • I would also mention the following underrated guitarists. Tommy Shaw & James Young- Styx Michael Sweet & Oz Fox- Stryper
  • @ianbetts1408
Lou Reed and Alice Cooper when they had Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter touring with them. Incredible double lead attack.
  • @402rich6
The original QĂĽeensryche line up with Michael Wilton and Chris DeGarmo are definitely worth discussing on this topic!
