Anything with Denzil Washington in it is gonna be worth watching.

movies are so bad these days that any movie pre-2000 is instantly liked and enjoyed before even started.

One of the most under rated films I’ve ever seen. Amazing performances from every actor. Absolutely gripping from beginning to end and filled with some of the best story twists. Denzel is one of THE greatest film actors in film history and he is so good in this. A perfect Everyman when needed and a fantastic ‘character’ when called for. I’m always left with the chills after watching this particular movie. Can you tell I appreciate it? 🙂

What a film. Denzel and Goodman at their best. Boy, do I miss old Hollywood, full of original ideas.

This was always a favorite supernatural thriller of mine growing up. The cast and acting was memorable.

Out of all the movies theyve remade and made sequels to, this is one that deserves a sequel. Great movie

John Goodman is such a great actor. Forgot him and Denzel were in two movies together. The other one is called FLIGHT!

The scene in the police station where the demon jumps from person to person is a masterpiece.

Who ever the person is that Picked Denzel for this part is a very aware and in the Know because of all the actors out there, best one by far for this part.

This movie scared the hell out of me when I was a kid for some strange reason. And "Time is on my side" singing was so creepy.

Such an underrated movie. An absolute CLASSIC in my book. My personal top ten. The person who wrote this has vast knowledge of spirits, even though he and the film are sadly twisted and tainted by the Christian understanding of evil spirits/demons, which shares some similarity, but for the most part is extremely different from the Orthodox Jewish understanding, which, despite what many Christians will say, is based on nothing more or less than what the Hebrew Bible says. I actually met a guy in jail one time that had an almost exact experience to John Hobbs. Everywhere he went, a spirit would enter a person, and basically like, literally, run into him. I never doubted him. I told him about fallen. He said he had never seen it. Seem quite credible to me. Just because someone's in jail doesn't mean that they are a liar, though many are. The most interesting concept in the film to me, is that a demon or evil spirit cannot enter a righteous person, or at least not by conventional means. If it's not all together true, I believe it does have at least some true to it. I also believe, based on my own personal experience, that if an evil spirit DOES possess a righteous person, that it will ultimately have to leave, likely because it hates being near righteousness, because it basically reminds it of its own evil. Whereas an average or wicked person will require an exorcism.

'We are not fighting against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces in the heavenly realms' This movie makes this point very well, imho, although with a lot of artistic licence. But the Bible says that we don't need to fear the evil forces when we are in God's hands. We need to remember that there is an opposing spiritual force to God, that is Satan. Not as powerful as God but can definitely reek havoc in our hearts, heads and lives, if we allow it to. We do need to keep vigilant in real life, to guard our hearts and minds. That is what is important. As it says in the Bible, it matters not what happens to the body but it matters totally, what happens to the soul. Choose good and eschew evil. God bless everyone and yes, another wonderful performance from the great Denzel Washington, who I understand follows Christianity?

This movie was deeper than yall know

Hobbs never calls on a higher power for help. Never asks Saint Michael for aid. Never ask God to act for him.

I remember seeing this for the first time. It struck a nerve and has stayed with me. Very few movies have this effect on me.

A few years back, I went to watch a movie with friends in a lounge for staff. I hate knowing about the movie ahead of watching it, so I wanted to be surprised. Denzel was casted here and the title Fallen, didn't say anything. OH BOY, DID THIS FILM D E L I V E R!! The Pelican's brief and Deja Vue are two more with Denzel, definitely worth watching. Thank you so much.

Back when this came out I thought it was pretty damn clever and I still do.
