Jon´s Chapel is a natural cave or grotto on the rocky coast of the island. According to a legend Jon came here and lived a hermit´s life. But with a mission. He wanted to convert the heathen inhabitants of Bornholm to Christianity. He preached to them and many came to hear him. There was not room enough in his grotto, so he went outside and found a natural rock pulpit on the cliff, from where he could preach the Holy Gospel to many more people.
